Listen and Learn

Listen carefully children, and you shall hear,a story of pain and so much fear,
Where dreams and hopes won't come true, read carefully before it happens to you...

I thought i knew my way around, and the path of destruction is what i found,
everything was happening so fast,i was was running scared from a horrid past...

A past of guilt and shame, with no where to go,and no one to blame,
walking the streets on bitter cold nights, caught in a dream and flashing lights...

Not knowing which way to turn or what lesson i would soon learn
My body scarred and abused,a sure sign of the drugs i had used

Stuck in a life of serious crime,i should have known it was only a matter of time...
I have been everywhere including jail, never once going to hell, My life was spared,so that
   i could tell this tale...

I played the game so smooth and slick,
i did'nt realize that i was the trick... Can't remeber the beginning or the end,all i
looked for was the smile of a friend...

My life so empty and sad, thought i would never know the life i once had,
going wrong insted of right, battling a loosing fight...

My strength was weak and worn,my lips begging Gabriel please don,t blow your horn...
I was.nt ready for that pearly gate, but only time could knew my fate...

I write these words so bold and tru, because i don't want the same thing to happen to you..
listen my children and follow the wise.don,t be the fool who plays and dies...

I have stop living the life so fast and easy, because there is nothing cute about being sleezy
I lived half my life through a glass pipe, all i saw was a cloud of smoke, with death in my eyes
it
was surely no joke...

I f you think this is sad and blue, change yours ways because it is waiting for you
