Different Gods Same Satan

I choose no religion,
Unlike you the legion,

I do not know which is right,
That is why I have to write,

God is not a Muslim,
Neither does he subscribe to Judaism,

I do not know much about desists,
But I know something good about jainists,

I will never be an atheist,
I'll rather be an agnotist,

I do not pledge to any of these,
I'm certain God is not concerned with this,

The day of reckoning is about to come,
Call me to yours and I will come,

I do not know hows it's going to be,
Something will happen to the human being

I have heard much in Christianity,
They advocate spirituality and purity,

Some of them do not drink in the open,
But they sing and dance to the gospel,

Blood Is Thicker Than Water

I thought blood was no longer thiker than water.
But that's not the matter.
Even that who calls you honey,
Will run away when you have no money.

Listen to me yee!
Not in anyway will I mislead thee.
Build a rapport.
Your kins need your report.

Let your mother be your accomplice.
She always know how to accomplish.
You can always use her as an alibi.
Remember tha time she sang you lullaby.

You have those you call comrade.
But I tell you they'll come and raid.
That day when you'll go.
They'll come eat as they go.

They'll praise you during the requim mass.
But those will be the words of the mass.
Your kins will sing the dirges.
As your gang act as your judges.

Do not be a city boy.
You life will be a bouy.
Go back to the village.
Do not cry much about the milage.

Your village people needs you.
Once you go to the village you'll get a ewe.
But I tell you, you need them more.
One day you grave will need a mow.

Heed to the words of an erudite sage.
Do not judge by looking at the age.
I put this message in words.
Take this to the entire world.

Even Big Boys Cry

I'm writing in despondence,
Perhaps seeking your indulgence,
Let's talk about this boy,
Let's be their life-buoy,

Big boys are now crying,
They are at a verge of dying,
They're all subject to oblivion,
Very soon going to extinction,

Today I'm speaking for the lad,
Do not say I'm a biased bard,
Where's the manhood glory,
All troddened and treated lowly,

To day I'm writing to the men,
Pushing on to the gentlemen,
Let's be a little magnanimous,
All you hear ain't rumours,

We've lost everything masculine,
The all world is now feminine,
The rain is heavily beating us,
Our own are licking the arse,

Let's go to the drawing board,
There are lots of things aboard,
Lets check the nitty gritty,
It's time to avoid the fishy,

Fire In My Heart

Tongues of flame have fallen on me.
Deep down in my heart I can feel it.
In the epicenter it's concentrated.
It's not the pentecost day but I can feel it.

From the day I met her, I have known no peace.
My legs are restless, always in want to go for her.
My fingers very itchy.
Always demanding for caress her fine textured body.
To prop her mane is my want.

Everytime, a message pops on the screen.
Superfluous thrill descends down my spine.
Whenever my ringtone takes the atmosphere.
My ears echos her melodious hymnic voice.

My nights have become long.
Mayhem all night long.
Awaiting the new day to be born.
I can't cool the fire in my heart.

My mind an archive of her pictures.
Prints if her going and retracting.
All segment of my brain.
Triggering the fire in my heart.

Say No To Election Violence

I was young and tender.
Innocent and naive.
More than a decade ago.
But no one can erase.
In my mind well imprinted.

We lost souls
We buried them in the soils.
Some left lying on the ground.
Looking for justice we said.
Can injustice bring about justice?

Houses burnt down.
The earth scorched.
Breasts cut down.
Women raped.
Men left lifeless.
I shed tears as I write this.

I remember very well.
The friends I lost.
Sinnless brothers
Gone never to be seen.
Blood shedding.
God's wrath could be waiting.

Armed to teeth we were.
Ferocious weapons unearth.
Where did the rain start beating us.
I say no to election violence.
Let's say no to election violence.

Dear Kenyans,
In a fortnight or so.
At the ballot we'll be.
Say no to election violence.
Let's say no to election violence.

The Cry of the Boychild

I was born decades ago.
When boychild wad was a being.
'No community survives without a boy'
The phrase I used to hear.
I envied the boychild.

Soon the value teleported.
Into the thin air not to be seen.
Today the opposite I see.
The gender I desliked,
The societies' preference.

Day after day, the boy is a looser.
From home to school.
Within and without.
No one to stand for the boychild.

Boys raped day after day,
No activist put it out.
Boys taken to court.
No lawyer speaks for him.
Innocent boys rotting in jail.

His education not left behind.
Every motivation skewed to the girl.
Every activist is feminist.
His performance dwindles.
No one attempts to find the roots.
I speak for the boychild.

Hope In Humanity

There is a belief.
I do believe.
There is still hope.
Hope for humanity.

Hope that man will value man.
The long lost humanity.
There is hope in Ukraine.
Russia will retreat.

The Al Shabaab, Al Qaeda
Boko Haram in Northeastern Nigeria.
Hope to see value.
Value in human life.

There is hope in our girls.
For a reduction in abortion cases.
A reduce in street children.
There is hope.

There is hope in our leaders.
To bring back the lost integrity.
Do away with the mistreatment of the poor.
There is hope.

The Race of Racism

I stand firm today
Not withstanding the race
The speed to fast
Our destiny infinite
Sick and tired I am
Of the segregation in us

You call them apes
Fighting for grapes
In the white mans schools
Question to you, should they not school?

We can't blame the lord
We can't curse our parents
Choice of color we have not
Choice of birth place, beyond our choice.

You call them monkies
You call them ugly
No! Look at her
Her hypnotizing beauty.
Her deep sensation beauty.
I wish I was dark.

A friend to me she is.
A sister to me she seems
Till our hair turn grey
Our bond shall exist .
Love them all, cherish them

The Tear

Brethren,
I'm held between a rock and a hard surface.
Nothing seem to add up.
The East seem to be West.
All sides perilous.

I know not what to do.
All I tried went in vain.
I'm left with no energy.
In case I do not survive.
Put my words in writing.

Tell them that I tried my best.
The rich exploited me.
I had no opportunity to grow.
I tried...

It seem I had no friends.
All ran away at my peril.
Others proved to be frenemies.
I had no family too.

Every attempt I did.
From a frying pan to fire.
It was.
Not the waters not the air supports life.

Seldom Prayer

Sir God,
It's me again,
You already know what I want to say,
But allow me put it this way,
Our genesis is different,
But the destiny is the same.

We all must rest,
We'll die and go to unknown land,
A place only known to the departed,
Not even the worldly majesties,
Will escape it.

Do not give me many years,
Like those of Methuselah,
I not need to be wrinkled,
And look like a beast,
I need not to be a burden,

When my time come,
Let it be a decent journey,
At an old age dear God,
When I'll have accomplished all,
The wants and desires in mind.

At a time I'll be giving blessings,
The time I'll have nothing to lose,
Nobody will have to wail,
For I'll have put it to a halt,
My gift of life.

Dear God,
Let it not be through an ailment,
Not a fatal accident,
Not a suicide nor a genocide,
Not even a lightning strike,
Let it be a decent journey.
