My Grandfather

Sitting here crying,
I can feel your embrace,
Your huge arms surrounding me,
I miss you

There is nothing I want more,
Than one more kiss,
One more hug,
Even just one more word

I can’t believe you’re gone.

My Sister; My Friend

You are not just my sister,
But my best friend.
You stand beside me,
Guiding me onto the path,
You know is right for me.
Never giving up,
Just trying to make me,
The best I can be.
You have seen me through my worst times,
And have witnessed first hand,
The happiest moments of my life.
When I am lonely or sad,
You are there,
To hold me,
To cry with me,
Or to just smile that smile,
That always reassures me,
Everything will be okay.

As I have gotten older,
And turned into a woman,
I understand your life better,
What you've gone through,
The difficult times you have had to face,
All alone.
Most would of given up,
Walked away and left everything behind,
Without ever looking back,
But it takes a real woman,
The woman I see when I look at you,
To stick around and get through it.
I can only pray pray,
If my life ever gets that hard,
I can become half the woman,
You are today.
But if I can't,
I know I will have a wonderful sister by my side,
To help me get through it all.

I'Ll Be Waiting

I lay in bed
Waiting to fall asleep.
My mind starts to wonder
and I'm thinking of you.
I miss you
I don't know why.
My head is telling me no
But my heart wants something different.
I want you
Need to feel you.

You lay beside me in bed
Kiss my cheek and say goodnight.
I curl up beside you;
You hold me in your arms
tell me you love me.
I fall asleep
Asking God for nothing more.

I wake up to emptiness
Finding that my head was only
Playing games with my heart.
Will you ever hold me,
Kiss me,
Love me?
Only time will tell,
Until then,
I'll be waiting.
