Fletcher Thomas Poem
Why should I cry when life is cruel?
When my hope is hanging by the thread;
Looking up for light in my darkness;
Before crossing the river of the dead;
An sullen visage of life after;
Why should I dream for greatness?
As darkness envelopes my soul;
All I hear is a gory laughter;
"Come higher" is what I hear;
Embrace thy truth and thy fears;
Love simplicity and live for love;
For love shall take away thy tears!
Run to paradise complete!
Away from all distractions;
And live free to love again;
And have true satisfaction!
