Mental

I sit here alone, no chance of affection,
Everyone thinks that I want attention.
But hope is not lost, it just needs to be written
I shall make the words my own, with no submission.

I sit here alone with sounds all around,
But as I wonder I know that no friends can be found.
Am I helpless? Alone? Oh what a question,
I hate to be stuck, I feel I’m back in detention.

I sit here alone, views passing me by,
Sometimes I stir and simply wonder; why?
Why did she leave me stranded and alone?
From city to city, Berlin to Rome.

I sit here alone with knowledge unsaid,
I know that things weren’t right in her head.
Her demons follow her, they don’t dash or dither,
We both know in her heart that they’ll always be with her.

I sit here alone, but surrounded by friends,
Or are they just memories I don’t want to end.
My mind is stable, a rarity I know,
Why do so many minds hate who they know.

I sit here alone with nothing but my health,
But I know in my mind ‘tis the only form of true wealth.
Mentality its strange, it helps and it hinders,
But just like a fire it can turn things to sinders.

I sit here alone, knowing what I did,
Trying to help her only by doing my bit.
Not a lost cause, will just take time to master,
How ignoring mental health can lead to disaster.
