Let Us Dance

Let us dance to celebrate the lives we live.
To capture that moment held tightly. To
hear a song that reflects our lives. Our
love a symbol to all near to see the impossible
is real. Let us dance as we did on the day
we were wed. When all things were possible
our lives laid out before us. Two young
lovers with stars in our eyes. Not knowing
what was coming our way. Let us dance
as we did when our babes were born. The
hopes and dreams we had for them. A
true reflection of the love we shared. As the
years wore by and certain of secess.
We held true to each other. Let us dance
for all the laughter, joy and a few good tears.
The happiness we have. The years we've lived

Unbreak Me.

Unbreak me from this cycle we are on. Know that I am tired of the trials that I must endure.
Gone from this moment the desire the stick it out. For broken I have become. I need time
to piece back my life. To heal the broken heart you have created. The time has come to
say so long to the pain. Carry away from me your hurt that you travel. Gone from the
tones of voices that shouted for release. I walk away certain to become stronger than once
was. Greater journeys lay out before me. I walk now to a new life, I embrace it with an
open mind. Unbreak me from your hold on me. For I came along not knowing any better at
the time. Now I see clear the horizon. It's mine for the taking. let go and see how strong I
can become. For I shall grow beyond means that your know.

Children of Men

We are the children of men and we do as those before us has done.
never shall we learn until there is no more to come of the children of men.
When all laughter of a child fades shall we miss the pass of opportunities.
Ones that once were presented to the children of men.
each year another age shall be added on to those of us that remain.
No new births to welcome the ears of the children of men.
For then we are to late to make a real change in the tide.
The end is coming for the children of men.
Daily we saw this tide a coming in.
yet we fail to move the course of that tide for the children of men.
Soon it will wash this vast land clean and no more shall we be.
No more of the children of men

Stolen Moment

A moment lost I cry for now. Memories
fuzzed by the event that stole from me. I
long for that moment back to piece together this
shattered self I am. Confusion mounts as I
slowly slip further away. More determine than
ever to regain the time gone. Most know not this
anger I feel. How it comes to life and consumes
my time. It slips further away each time I try.
Failure to receive that memory lost angers me
further to a breaking point. Angry I am I push
away from those who do not understand. Bitter
angers wells inside me to all I am is an emptied
shell. For the stolen moment I remember not.

Memories

A relaxing evening awaits me. As I settle
down by the fire. In the distance I hear
the sounds of the creek. Many days I
have traveled there. The natural order of
things. Birds sing, small tadpoles swim
the croaks of the frogs. The buzz of bees.
All the childhood memories flood back
on me. A smile breaks through the
face of content. Those were happy times
I relax to sip a cup of cocoa and remember
tales told to me by my mother. The
laughter that filled the home. Stirs a
longing in me. Anxious I am to build
such memories for a child of my own.
For now I enjoy the relaxing evening
by the fire.

Little Girl

Little girl fall not so quick. Those devil blue
eyes will tell you lies. Those lips will utter words
that will hurt. So young you are to be so serious
over him. Little girl fall not so quick. For
lessons are hard at such a tender age. Guard
yourself for true love. No child he is not love. A
crush that will leave pieces of you broken. Little
girl fall not so quick. For here comes lies,
words that will shatter you for the moment.
Allow those tears to fall and I shall be here to
pick you up. Little comfort can I give. Little
girl fall not so quick

Winter

The cool breezes blow in the winter rains that pelt down hard upon the nearly frozen
grounds. Gone from sights are the colorful hues of autumn. The trees stand now bare
before nature. As does life that awaits the warmth of spring. That frozen rain slowly turns to
snow as it piles upon the inches that fell as ice. This is no normal winter storm that has us in
it's grips. Lights fail as the ice break the lines that bring such to them. Bit by bit we are
taken back in time to when life was much simpler than before. Until then we all wait to see
how long it takes before there are signs of life again. For now that old man winter has us in
his mercy.

Sleep

I love to watch how you sleep. The ease that
settles over your features. I wish life wasn't
so harsh on you. The harden exterior melts
away in your sleep. The softness of you
reveal in sleep. There are times when
your tension follows you home and we
fight. You not realizing that it happens
until the pain appears on my face. Deep breaths
are took, words softly spoken. All is forgiven
before we go to sleep. At times I wake just
to lie there. In your sleep all is right with the
world and thankful I am to have you at
my side.

Change

I saw the change and turned the cheek to it.
I knew the pain you felt and ignored it all.
For I wish not to be bother by anything but me.
This selfish self I have become is all to me.
Imagine is all that I have now.
This empty shell that once was me.
Gone from sight all the care I once felt.
I banished it to regions I no longer acknowledge.
You burnt all that I once was by the action taken.
Yet I fail to blame you.
For I saw what you had become and did nothing.
I allowed myself to go down a path I knew nothing about.
This stance I am in is that of my own mess.
Bits of me is left and no longer can be repaired.
To far gone is all that is left.
I did nothing to stop this journey and now I pay the price.
