Sleep

I love to watch how you sleep. The ease that settles over your features. I wish life wasn't so harsh on you. The harden exterior melts away in your sleep. The softness of you reveal in sleep. There are times when your tension follows you home and we fight. You not realizing that it happens until the pain appears on my face. Deep breaths are took, words softly spoken. All is forgiven before we go to sleep. At times I wake just to lie there. In your sleep all is right with the world and thankful I am to have you at my side.

Love the way you allow the reader to experience the peace you feel when your loved one drifts off to sleep. The calmness and serenity are whispered gently in "words softly spoken." And, truly, it is a time when "all is forgiven." Very nice reflection on the tranquility of sleep, Donna. Love, Carolyn
