A Smile

Nobody could see inside my heart,
It’s all hollow and the colours apart
Tears dropping down my eyes
I was being hurt by all your lies

My life was sitting laughing at me,
15 years old and already a catastrophe,
I was lying down, looking at the sky
Thinking about my life, it was all a lie

My anxiety was high, My medication was low
She was all happy and It hurts me to know
The scars on my hands don’t seem to go
She moved on and I still cant seem to cope

Its scary what a smile can hide,
I was stacking up everything inside
I’m sick and tired of putting up a front
Like I am happy, but really I am in a slump

I didn’t tell anyone what I can strive,
All my capabilities lie behind
I wanna put down walls and open up
I hide behind this person I’ve become

Everyone thought that I was a prodigy
How did I get here? Was that all luckily
I still accepted everything in modesty
I will keep going on is all I can guarantee
