Depression

I was once there,
Nobody cared,
For words, I was lost
Filled with tire and exhaust
Living in a superficial mess
Life was a game of chess

I'd lost my mates, lost my queen
An astonishingly dark scene
That being, in my life, the most critical situation
They call it depression
My neck inches to the knife
holding on to dear life

Not anymore could I cry
I wished to die
That day, that moment,
I saw myself as my own opponent
If I had done it, everything would've been gone
Everything I had ever worked for'd be forgot

So many souls, so many dreams, I'm simply a speck of dust
Don't ever look back, even I've felt crushed
I don't have many friends, don't be taken aback
Legends never come in packs, and I trust myself to have my back
Now I am, the only one, shining through my window like a light ray
I have come to love myself for who I was, am and hope to be one day

Today I walk, smiling, ear to ear
The burden of fear, I no longer have to bear
Proud, I am, to know, my dream, I accomplished
And didn't leave the world, with my purpose unfinished
I am not born to die sad,
I rewrite my destiny, again on my scratchpad

Till I am happy, I try it again
Write it again and again with my golden pen
This pretty paradise, they forgot to capture
In my life a brand new chapter
Go on with your life bravely
Your future waits for you to shine brightly

Nightmare

She was just a little girl
Just as precious as a pearl
No one knew what she was inside
She was such a perfect bride
To the most well-known man in town
Dragging down the aisle, a pretty white gown
The man was indeed lucky, or so they thought
It was her, that night, who won the jackpot
While everyone else was busy sleeping
She was still up, creeping
Through the hallways and past the sink
Soon, was to turn red, her pretty lips, painted pink
What happened next? Nobody knew
When they saw, no one could ask, "Was it you?"
More because she wasn't at all a suspect
The husband lay there dead,
she cried but, no one knew, it was all pretend
They thought she was the 'pretty in pink, perfect girlfriend'
She knew just how to blend
To his mother, she was a best friend
She saw blood dripping off his body,
Just the thought, made her so happy
Because she was certainly the murderer
You can cry, murmur or whisper
She doesn't care
She is a real-life nightmare
