My Father In Heaven

There is no one like the Father you are to me.
I was no mistake in your plans I see.
I never was a plaything or an oopsy.
In your heart I never was or will be.

You knew me before the sun ever rose,
You knew me before the ground ever froze.
You knew me before the first bird had flown,
You knew me before the first flower had grown.

You were there the day of my first breath.
You were there the day of my mother's death.
You were there the day my father died.
You were there as I wailed and cried.

You wait for me each day to come to you and pray.
You wait for me each day to look to you and say,
You are my Father and I thank you for your love
You are my Father and I think of you above,

Though each day I long to be with you,
I know you are there always with me...

Happy Father's Day...

Caylee Anthony

Did you wake with a smile on your face?
Were you ready to start, set the pace?

Feeling and wanting to just be close?
Are you wand’ring alone as a ghost?

Where were you and why did you go?
Many were looking don’t you know?

Caylee I’m sorry I wasn’t there.
If I were they wouldn’t even dare…

I’m sorry you missed big girl pants….
A father to hold you a hug and a dance…

There won’t be a clown or pony you see.
Only rain and sorrow inside of me.

Every child in the world touches my heart.
Oh so young when they depart.

I’m sure with Sarah you dance and play…
Together forever every day…

There are no tears where you are…

Poetry Is This

Poetry comes from the heart, the dreams, the spirit, and wishes, Too oft' I hear of pain and woe and what life often dishes. So come with me and learn and see that poetry is more than this, It's more than rhymes and more than times and more than just a kiss.

I hear the thunder rolling as I feel the breeze a blowing, So my mind begins a showing a dream that I been going, Going far from where I am and going far from where I'll be. My heart it flutters and then it mutters as I drift out to sea.

See the birds glide through the air as if they were at home. See the fish float in the water and look right up at me. Toss a hand full of the future high into the sky, Pitch a thought of where I was and then see where I'll be…

The flowers grow both wild and tame not seeking any nurture, And yet, we pause and sniff and think and end their lives, no thought… The ants they move both to and fro just doing what they do, We watch and gaze so questionably and poison what they've sought…

We cry and wale at the loss, that we see so wrongly dealt, Curse the sky, and wonder why, and swear unto revenge. Never we think about the way the sun rises, or how the moon it glows, The cat's meow, the cow it's moo, the frog it hops, or how a fire will singe.

A shadow never walks away, from all and does endure,

I'm a shadow, and I see all the things you don't. I feel the texture of the ground, each of its nooks and crannies, I follow the contour of the earth and enjoy the things you won't…

I touch the sky and feel the water; I am all that I write, I am the sound that you don't hear; I am the sights that you don't see, I am the feeling you can't express; I am the dream you can't caress,

I am the love that once passed by; I am the loss that made you cry, I am the fantasy not touched; I am the one, who listens much,

I am the star that looks at you; I see all you wish to do, I am the moon that shines at night; I am the thought that takes a flight, but more than these and all I write I am a poet late in the night…

I Love You

I looked at you when we were young!
I saw a future of love and hope.
I looked at you ten years later,
our love and trust could always cope.

I looked at you as twenty years past,
thinking then our love could not last...

I walked away and then came back
to the love we once had...
Now eight years later time flies by,
we live, we love in times good and bad.

I sit and look at you and imagine ten years from now...
Hoping, believing that time will keep our vow...

To have and to hold until death us do part,
your hands, tenderness and love keeps my heart.

Together we walk hand in hand,
forever bound to walk this land.

To walk in love and faith and trust,
to have, to hold, our love a must...

You were my love when first we met,
and will forever that is no bet...

I love you my special friend and wife,
I always will, for the rest of my life...

I love you...

Your husband...

Seas of Love

If I could create for the Father above, what would I create, wind swept love?
Billowing seas of compassion so dear, comfort unspeakable held so near.

If I could create for the Father I love, a prayer of thanks on the wings of a dove.
To be there when in His hands it lights, to see His smile His joy at great heights.

If I could create for the Father my Lord, my heart so grateful to Him out poured.
Nothing to hide as a child so free, into His lap is where I would be.

If I could create for the Father who cares, it’d be a cloak to boast of His wares.
Proud as a child who’s Father stands tall, marching and smiling bowing and all…

If I could create for the Father who smiles, glorious beauty that stretches for miles.
I’d paint a creation; it’d make Him proud, wonderful heights and rivers so loud.

If I could create for the Father my joy, I would create for Him a wonderful boy…
Me a boy a child so dear, one that would always be with out fear…
A boy that would always honor His name, a boy who would never play at a game,
A boy that would make proud the Father and yet, a boy never sad or angry I bet.

I love my Father in Heaven and still, I feel so far away needing to fill,
Needing to fill my heart with His joy and needing His love for this little boy.

I love you my Father in Heaven…

Please Don'T Cry Because I'M Gone

I see the family gathered around and my heart is there with you.
As I see your faces I know that you are sad.
I was blessed as an only child with a family such as you.
It was a joy to be your mother.
There were many things I did to care for you as you were growing up.
All these things I did were done out of love.
I loved your father with a love that was unconditional, and his love for me carried me throughout the tough times in our lives together.
I hope that this love is something that I've left behind for all of you to share.
Someday Dad and I shall be together again.
I can see your pain and I feel your sadness.

Please don’t cry because I’m gone.

I will be with all of you in your memories.
We will all be together again someday and we will all rejoice together.
Though I've left this world behind I've taken a part of it with me…
Your pains and sorrows will heal with time and your lives will continue.
Remember me with love in your hearts and be happy when I’m on your minds.
I’ll be waiting with anticipation to see each one of you again.
Until that time, remember, I’ll be before our Lord every day, interceding for you so that my prayers I had on earth will be answered here in Heaven.

Please don’t cry, because I’m gone.

Just remember that I’m with the one who created me.
There is no greater peace than to be with the one who can do all things and can do them right.
As I left this world and went to be with the Lord, there were people there I hadn't seen for many years.
They were here with open arms to greet me and the joy I felt was so wonderful.
It was like another family reunion.
Please be at peace as you travel the road home and know that I’ll be here with open arms to greet you as you enter into the presence of the Lord.

Please don’t cry because I’m gone.

A Tear

Upon my fingertip, today I caught a tear.
I pondered all it's meaning, held with in its bounds.
Sparkling with all the love, of many a past year.
But listen very closely and hear the sorrowed sounds.

My tears are those of missing you,
A void that's never filled.
From day to day I'm at a loss, not knowing what to do.
My heart's a rocky soil, parched and un-tilled.
My thoughts are often afar off, but mostly are of you.

I caught a tear today upon my fingertip.
I strained to see the memories you've left me.
Your name and all you were and are, rest upon my lip.
Someday again I know I'll see you, just you wait and see.

I've got so many tears I know I'll never run out.
Each one I catch I'll be thinking of you.
For that there is no doubt.
Please, wont you remember me too.

I…miss…you…

(I caught a lot of flack over this line: "My thoughts are often afar off"...
I wrote it as I meant it!
I lost my mother and six months later my mother-in-law...
it was a painful time in my life...
This poem has been sent over 60,000 times through out the world over the internet... )

Bullying

Bullying will always happen! Even as an adult bullying takes place. Some ways are more subtle than others. Try as we may to stop such things from happening they will still happen. Our workplace has instilled with in its rules and regulations about unwanted touching, offensive language and clothing. If we don’t fit in by the way we look, act or respond then we are subject to ridicule and abandonment. No matter how honorable and no matter how much effort we put into trying to make things right, there will always be imperfection in an imperfect world.
Most of our lives we are taught to buckle up tighter and move on with life. We are taught to take the ridicule and either fight back or abandon our goals. I will be the first to say that I am not a physical person. We train so we don’t need to fight. I may look intimidating to some and I am thankful for that. I have grown to enjoy being left alone from the standard pace that the world has set. When riding my motorcycle I dressed the part. I felt respected by those around me. When extracting an unruly inmate from a prison cell, I felt accomplished and satisfied. When standing up for what I believe in I found confidence and would have put my life on the line. Getting between a domestic confrontation may not be a wise decision, but to stand up for someone weaker was worth it.
Our home is our sanctity and place of peace. We the parents are the ones that must instill in our children, confidence, compassion, love and trust. We must teach our children the truth about the world and how it may never change. We must become the confidence that our children need to help them grow past the taunting and bullying. Though it hurts we must teach them to use bullying to become their strength. We must teach them that life is not fair. We must show them that being different in the eyes of others is what makes us special and unique.
Our strength is in being loved by our parents. Our strength is in loving others that are treated wrong. Our strength is in learning to love ourselves first. Being taught to love ourselves for who we are teaches us how to love others when they are unlovable. If treating others how we want to be treated is noble then we learn that those that treat others badly are only doing what they have learned at home and that they were not taught how to treat others. There will always be bullying and suffering in life. How we teach our children will make a mark of change in a world that doesn’t accept change.

My Forever Friend

When I look into your eyes, I see the love that first
sparked the flame of passion deep with in my soul.
When I hold your hand I feel the warmth
that took me by surprise and filled an empty hole.
When I walk with you upon the road of life,
I am forever grateful I took you for my wife.

Never a day do I regret
having spent time in your presence.
Never a day will I ever say,
that your love doesn't surround me like a fence.
I will hold your hand and seek your love forever
as the sun does shine.
I will touch your heart and care for you
and always you will be mine.

The curiosity that your smile holds,
the twinkle of innocence in your eyes,
Will always keep me by your side
and shelter me from the world's lies.
You are mine and I am yours
our love forever and always true.

Together we will bear the loads as we have paid the due.
We share the good and share the bad
in all that we must do.
Onward we go not looking back and move as one not two.
Oh, my darling, my love is strong and will only be for you!
You are my forever friend and no one else will ever do.

All my love,
Your husband.

My Little Girl - But That's Just Me

When I see the sun shine it reminds me of you!
Of all the things we used to do.
You’d wiggle and giggle and put on a smile.
You’d run and play then rest for a while.
I’d see you sleeping; you were so full of peace.
You were mine and I love you, No longer a niece.

My little girl…

You’d run and you’d climb and then play pretend,
All through the day, seemed it never would end…
Each day was a joy and each night was too!
Seemed you never ran out of things to do.
A cat a bunny a bird or a fish,
You’d watch for a time and I’d make a wish!
I’d wish for the joy the love and good time,
To go on forever but you’d grow like a vine…

My little girl…

I know things change as time passes by…
I’m getting older and try not to cry…

But that’s just me…

My eyes fade a little more each day,
My body aches in many a way…
My hair not its color is fading to gray.
Is that okay?

But that’s just me…

When the time comes for me to depart,
I’d want the world to know,
I lived, I loved, I laughed, I cried,
I gave my life for my little girl,
And then I died…

But… that’s… just… me…
