One Step Back, Two Steps Forward

I am letting you go, so go you are free
Free to learn that you were meant for me,
The pain and misery of our history,
Shall never flee from inside of me,

I deserve better than this,
You know I do,
But all I've ever wanted
Was what I deserve,
To come from you,

Dating is preparing,
Preparing to give all,
I gave you everything,
A mistake that led to our downfall,

I did it anyway,
Because I want you forever,
But you are my first relationship,
And I didn't know any better,

If only you knew exactly how I feel,
You would not be so upset,
That I need time for my heart to heal,
You've done me wrong so many times,
Which are comparable to murder,
But as relationship crimes,

I know we both never wanted this,
We sprinted off the start,
Racing towards infinite bliss,
Only to run out of breath,
And slowly move apart,
And lose eachother in innocent mist.

So when you come back,
You will be yourself once more,
Not who you are now,
But that innocent girl from before,

And since you have a tolerance to,
The greatest part of me given to you,
I will be come an even better man,
So when I learn how to give again,
I will be ready to take your hand...

Piercing Silence, Screaming Thoughts.

Here in my room,
I lay in my bed,
With every thought of you,
Intruding my head,
Like snapshots in my brain,
Of the last thing you said,

My gut is violated,
And I twitch with rage,
I cannot free myself,
From this anxiety ridden cage,
And in this chapter of our life,
It seems I can't turn the page,

This torture is much worse,
Since you have been away,
I am so scared,
That away is where you'll stay,
And no matter how hard I try,
I will have to lay here in my room,
Alone one more day.

I Wish.

I wish life had a backspace key,
One that could only be found,
Inside of me,

So I can start to hit the button until,
I'm back to a fresh page of life,
And have had my fill,

I wish stress had a volume knob,
One that can suppress,
And stop my silent sobs,

So I can twist to a more silent serenity,
Live life on life's terms,
And be happy for the clocks infinity.

One Day.

So there is this contest,
That I must..contest,
No matter the odds,
Even though I'm too
In between east and west,

It's to show love for the
Ocean,
And all it beholds,
For tides of crystal blue,
And monotonous folds,

But I have never seen
The ocean before,
And I can still say,
Besides that statement,
That I love it more,

See, in pictures and t.v.,
It seems so vast,
So amazingly beautiful,
But it's only a dream,
That one day I'll pass.

To Whom?

To whom this may concern,
Which means this goes unread,
Unless one of sympathetic nature,
Takes to heart what is said,
And truth be told here today,
That this man's heart broke once again,
Yet both love and hate reside in him,
Against this hypocrite world we live in,
Why do we strive towards what we can't achieve?
Only maybe to be recognized after death,
Creating religions on the grounds of hope,
Still not knowing when we pass what's left,
Why can't we accept this, why must we grow?
Only to poison our air, sea, and land,
Slaughtering beauty in our lifetime,
Which is too short for our any 'good' man,
Why judge one another for any reason,
Being the epitome of you reap what you sow,
Inevitably lighting the fuse to treason,
Going off what a few big wigs know,
Who's to say they are in any way right?
Controlling our lives with a push of a button,
Only like us, to give in to the same white light,
And back to the beginning of life,
Nothing.

Just An Old Love Poem.

I'm so in love with you,
Definitely head over heels,
I wish I could fall in love with you every day,
To keep experiencing how it feels,

How it feels to crawl into bed,
And fall asleep gently knowing,
That you are meant for me,
And we will be forever growing,

How it feels to wake up late at night,
So I can think about you some more,
Just to make sure my next dream of you,
Starts off like the one before,

It was me who first said I love you,
I was lost in your eyes,
You remember,
We both had stomachs’ full of butterflies,
I was shaking,
And I started to cry,

You said I love you back,
We both smiled and kissed,
I wish I could count every time I say I love you now,
But there's too many times to list,

Tonight is one of those nights,
Where I sit and get lost thinking about you,
No wonder my favorite number is two,
When it comes to me and you,

Dreams of walking with you along the coast,
With the sunset to our backs,
I have so much love to give,
And you deserve the most,

We've had our moments,
Our hard times,
But it all seems worth it now,
Because I have you baby,
And I'm done committing crimes,
Now I just write down my love for you,
And make sure it rhymes,

I love you baby.

These Are Just Words Right?...

If these are just words,
Then I am just a human being,
But my mother told me different,
That I'm no ordinary "thing",
I'm a lovely young man now,
With an even better heart,
Sometimes with my outer appearance,
People just judge them to be apart,
So I say to you world,
That these aren't just words,
They are exchanges of extravagant,
Meaning,
And they need to be heard.

Ones Entity

Assessments of one's entity brings,
A stabbing sense of double entendre,
Filing away at my character,
With deep scrutiny brings deep affliction,

My pride is all but redundant,
In such a critical sway of time,
Deferring a dream for addiction,
Such a naive victim to crime,

Rediscovering past benevolence,
The heart behind the curtain,
Shading his burnt path of violence,
An ill-fated atrocity was certain,

Abandoning abysmal conspirators,
A smooth remedy to cure my hatred,
Looking, longing for a skyward balance,
Holding close what is oh so sacred,

Staring into the contrivance,
That could end or save his world,
Offering his soul for relief,
Holding in his hands each pearl,

Closing his hands together,
To mix his alien fates to be,
He tosses them into his pocket,
And procrastinates to stay free.

Gamble It Away, It's Okay...

Just call me Mr. Ruffle,
Because I'm stacking my chips,
One more roll of the dice,

One more lick of your lips,

Just call me Mr. Lucky,
Because I'm supposedly clever,
One more flip of that card,

One more pull of that lever,

Just call me Mr. Broke,
Because I took that last chance,
One more failed attempt,

One more empty pocketed pants.

Composure

When we touch
I feel something happen
When we breathe
All the world is humbled
Stay with me
As my heart surrenders
Comfort me
As I fall apart

When we flee
Darkness brings us release
All you need
You can find it in me
Stay with me
As my heart surrenders
Comfort me
As I fall apart
