Spider

Spiders climb up my wall all the time. How do they grip the wall? It seems incredible, the fact that they don’t fall? How do they run so fast, and without falling off? Their skill is unsurpassed! It seems it’s called a van der Waals force; there’s no glue, just lots of tiny hairs, but the hairs are not enough, of course; They must be triangular in shape, tiny paddles all over their feet, essential to make that great escape. So next time you see one of these guys, remember how amazing they are, and how their cool skills belie their size. 25th July 2021 a 3-6-9 poem sponsor Emile J. Pinet
