See The Light
The time is coming for all of us
Life is ticking away and so is all the trust
The light is coming more alive and bright
Do I accept this light or put up a fight?
But this light means more than the end of life you see
For the good, not the bad, metaphorically
This light was a feeling of strength, to be brave
To fight my anxiety, this monster that would constanlly crave
But did I let it take over me? NO! This light helped me!
This light, this feeling made me break free
This feeling came over and over it wouldn’t let me be
For good reason, the light wanted to have me back
It didn’t want this monster to attack
This light, in a way is my secret friend
Who will always be with me until the end
And as the years go on, this light glows brighter
This light, over my anxiety, is the better fighter
As it grows, so does this feeling
This feeling of believing
So here I stand at the end of my life
This feeling, this light, is not scary, it’s alright
This friend who’s been with me, pushing me
To have confidence in myself, to truly believe
And now when I see this light at the end
I know that I’m ending my journey with this friend
And as I reflect on my journey with this fight
This fight with my anxiety, it’s okay to see the light
This light is a super power to believe
To believe, and not stopping to achieve
Find your light, don’t put up the fight
Feel the light and see the light!
