Mothers Tears

There's a broken heart,
It wasnt from being worlds apart,
a child still young,
yet trying to act grown.

Hurtful muttered words and lies,
deceptions causing mother to cry,
stealing stuff under electronic eyes,
yelling cussing, screaming, crying,
a broken heart that hurts from trying.

Nothing ever good enough,
we do our best to be tough.
Man steps up for a child not his own,
yet child wants him out of home.
hes been there through thick and thin,
and will remain there until his end.

he cares, and loves and sacrifice,
his love for us is his vice.
love for both is true and sincere,
being left and forgotten is his fear.

mothers tears run down her cheek,
instead of brave she is now weak.
children make mistakes,
adults do too, all is forgiven,
but something's changed.
like something becoming estranged.

shattered heart when dad gives up,
child doesnt give a what..

always trying to teach and learn,
just to end up scorn and burned.
try and try and try again,
yet it all just ends the same.

Child refuses to learn,
never stops and on repeat.
grounded, spanking, losing toys.
its like discipline he enjoys.
it never ends,
both mom and dad feel defeated.

giving up on this fight,
maybe time apart is right.
will come together after a while,
but will this time change the child?

anxiety, depression, no sleep just tears,
heartache, headache.
divided.
cant wait until all is better and we are reunited.

mothers tears run down her face,
child behavior is a disgrace.
she raised him better and he knows this too.
but growing up is hard to do.
now we wait and then try again,
i hope this cycle will finally end.
