Kimberly Williams Poem
Beneath me lies the darkness
Our shadow always peeking,
The race that is not given swiftly
But rather paced the pathway
Steady creeping.
Reluctant, yet persistent, unresolved,
But least resistant.
Traveling on through the living space,
Encased in the flesh, waiting for eternity's
Rest.
I attest the eternity is real, whether kindled
In the flaming abyss or within the warmth and
Love of the Almighty.
Direction- depends on reflection, light or darkness
Good or evil.
The pendulum has already swung, to which will
The weight is equaled.
Survival, without a weapon, is impending doom,
Wearing the Word, death is defeated, the water
Falling, a wilted flower begins to bloom
Above all, taking the light of life, carrying your cross,
And fighting for your life.
Still, either way, it's not your own, however, your heart
Already chose your final destination's ticket. One way.
Consider this.
Its permanent, SELAH
Is your soul is worth fighting for........
You have but one-
Persisting resisting, Above all ….
Then you’ve really won.
E.K.W.
