Brian Price Poem
Your kiss lays behind my knee
Like drying solvent.
It evaporates into our air
And puts my head floating like helium.
You’ve touched me again in that spot
The one that holds me in a full nelson
not releasing me for hours,
as if I would want to be released by you.
We talk about the days to come
As I search for a cool place on my pillow.
I ache to hear your pitter patter and your
little words that mix with the night.
You are an illusion to me
A puff of smoke from a magicians wand.
I never new that this feeling
existed, I had only read about such things.
The new morning brings me breakfast
Eggs bacon sausage salvation
I look over to see you tossing your locks
to see me through a thin veil of perfection.
I rub your back, run a finger down your ribs
And you smile like I deserve it.
I want to crawl into those lips past your
perfect ivory smile and slide into you forever.
You pull yourself up from the warm mattress
And I stare like a rocket is launching, and it is.
You bend down and gather up your silk thong
Start pulling your dress over your head.
I grab you quicker than you can get in it
Pull you down and press my lips against yours
Warm strawberry glaze and angel food cake.
you pull back look at me and smile, it’s all over for me.

Brian Price Poem
Madman on the Piano
I am swimming like a horse
in the deep ocean currents.
Little feet trying to paddle
like a madman on the piano.
You spiced our conversations today.
Pepper, lemon, maybe wasabi.
To hot for my mouth I spit out
The curd, kept the cream.
You make me want to hit the
door like a rocket on fire.
When will you understand the plan?
I am not the archer on the roof.
Come here to me
Right here where I am.
I don’t want to dig in the dark
To find your functions anymore.
The wind is knocking over your scarecrow
and leaving the crops to the scavengers.
Do you want to wave your veil as my
ship sails away with a cargo of your fortunes.
