Jofrine Vijila Poem
Our world has changed in a blink of an eye,
For overnight, it seems, our loved ones have said
goodbye!
Covid has made a stance - Now
We need a life of social distance!
People are dying and there's a lack of supplies,
We can see fear, and horror in their eyes!
Through this, we works! -Imagine!!
Getting up mid- time, wearing same masks,
Feeling drained, looking tired, sanitizing every second!!
If, missed a single germ--- Oh my God!!
Biggest concern ever!!
Living somewhere alone, serving for my people!!
Not seen my loved ones, for a long time...!
Anyway, people are dying alone,
Nobody to hold their hands!
Serving physical health---right way,,
Cracking mental health of mine..!!
Feel gutted for those affected..!?!-so stressful,
Catching damn bug,..!
Need virtual kiss or hug--that is the only medicine!
Immense amount of pain..,
Devastation in hotspots like Spain!!
Did nurses mean, they exhausted??...Noo...!!
Even their bones are tired!!
What will we , when this is all done?!!- yep!!
Some on social media., Some of us write poems..,
Please don't let us be next!!
Whatever, we do.. just stàfe,.that is..stay safe!!
Hold each other's virtual hand, to win this horrible..,
ing fight.., with united heart, soul and mind!!
