Kayla Clark Poem
I do not need another person’s arms
To wrap around my waist
As I fall asleep.
I do not need another person’s
Love
When I can love myself
Ten times harder
Than you could ever
Love me.

Kayla Clark Poem
I’ve seen the stars dance
And played in the lake.
I’ve gone to the beach and studied her waves.
And I’ve read one hundred books,
And I still want to read one thousand more.
I have slept in the woods,
listened to the wind.
I’ve played in the clouds and
I’ve danced in the rain.
But no matter what I do
I will always crave more.
I’ll crave and crave until I’ve touched the moon and sang on the sun
And until my blood runs cold and I’m out of breath.
Or maybe even then…
