A Small Room

The beige room,
Sat there with you,
Just for that moment,
Everyone departed,
Left behind a vacuum,
The journey of laughter,
Hysterical,desperate,
Tears always close but not mine,
Just silence for a second,

Exhale and choke on my breath,
Pinned to a cork board,
You and I,
Nut brown and naked,a little girl,
Tucked in white sheets,
Me in the crook of your arm,
Happiness singing from that shot,
Content with my Daddy,

Eyes closed,I travel through decades,
To lie here with you,
Drowned in sentiment and sorrow,
Relief to feel the tears flow,
Just you and I,
As I promised,
As it always was,
I feel your breath stop,
See your face still,
You slipped into death,
Silently.....
Kindly,
Floated into my waking dream,
And squeezed my hand,
As you always did.

Burn Me

I wish I’d poured you in the sea,
Thrown you from a cliff,
Left you in a vase beside my bed,
Anywhere but buried all alone,
In that sorrowful place,
Full of sad stories and death,
Who could visit such a place and smile,
Remember happy times,
You full of life,
Who could sit there without chocking on the grief,
The coldness of the stone,
The guilt of withered flowers?
The horror of kneeling on your bones,
Burn me to a cinder,
And throw me anywhere but here.
