I'M Here, Do You See Me

Each morning, the alarm sounds
The same old sound day in and day out
Instantly, I sink into a scripted role play
As I awake to a new day
Glaring through the windows is such a distant sunrise
Distant being the only feeling that I recognize

Five O'Clock A.M., the smell of coffee fills the house
Lunch is made and packed away
No words are spoken just as if I was the maid
A repeated kiss on the forehead
As if my lips fill you with dismay
Inside my soul, screaming.... pleading....
I'm here, Do you see me?

My divine presence falls into the dark shadows
My light only shines when the ache of hunger begins
A deep thirst rises
Or the bare of your skin needs to be clothed
The love I need comes from the one I miss the most

Off to work we go, no talks in between
Oh wait, maybe a message every now and then; Same time, same contents
Leaving me to wonder
I'm here, Do you see me?
Are you growing tire of me?
Who will capture your eyes next?

Rushing home as the day is fading away
Time to cook a meal
Clean, day in day out, it's the same deal

Clouds of darkness comes upon us
No conversation no, "How was your day?"
Phone in hand, games playing, TV roaring in the background
I seemingly become more and more quiet
My soul still screaming.....
I'm here, Do you see me?

Between the two of us, there's no intimacy
My light only shines when your needs rise
I'm here, ready to serve
My script no longer needs to be rehearsed.
