Saved My Life

I went back into that dark, dark place
Were demons dwell
And
Lives are taken away
But
Through the pain
And
Through the tears
You were there and kept me near.
You saved my life by loving me;
Your silent strength was the key.
Gentle touches and silent words
Let me know that love was the cure.
Depression is my evil curse,
And
When it planted the seed of death
Your love washed it away
And
Gave me the strength
To seek the help I needed to keep it at bay.
I’ve walked that dark path so many times
I’ve done lost track,
But
Things have change
And God’s given me a special tool
To help me through,
I have you and Joshua too,
And
Rooted deeper is the knowledge
Both of you want me to stay a little longer.
So like a drug addict that has lost their way
I start the road back to brighter days,
And
There are not enough words to say
I Love You
In every way
And
May God bless us ever day.

Together

Friends lost & friends gained
As memories begin to fade
A world created just for us
A world that best friends share, that's us
You draw, I write, together we created our life
Years gone and more to come
For your my husband and I your wife
Together we made this life
Together now, together than, together forever
You and me
My dearest friend

God Bless the Garbage Man

Though this is written like a poem it is
more of a thank you letter.

God answers prayers in so many ways
he brings us people to help keep the faith
he gave to me a sweet, sweet man
who helped me truly understand
when i was low and ready to give up
see i was broke
Without a job, no money, no food, no gas in the car
My husband needed to go and find work
To help his family stay a float
We saw the garbage man outside
We feared he'd come to take our garbage can
So we rushed out side to ask him not too
He said he wasn't there too
He just came to empty our can
'Cause the regular garbage man had passed us up
Now here is were God steps in
My husband and the garbage man talk outside for quit awhile
Tears fill my heart when I think of what comes next
My husband leaves and comes right back
He tells me that the garbage man has put $23 of gas in our van
My heart must of skipped a beat, I could not believe his generosity
Though it does not stop there
Apparently the garbage man has also given us $40 in cash
His only wish is was that it was not spent on cigarettes or booze
This money was for my family to get food
So often we forget how God lends a helping hand
God does not promise to make us rich, or grant us all we wish
He simply says just ask of me and all you NEED will be given to thee

Today I send out a special prayer, "God, Please bless The Garbage Man that
gave my family a helping hand. Amen"

A Sisters Tears

Broken hearts
Black as tar
A sister’s love burned away
Forever replaced with irreversible hate

Reach for light before the night forever takes
Your soul away
Fight the night, seek the light
Sisters’ love
Can be an unbreakable bond

A soul slowly baptized
In Lucifer’s detestation
Chipped away until only the shell remains

Once sisters bathing in the rays of life
Separated, in pain, for losing the way
One sister reaching for the other
The other sister stretching her hand down

Down into the very depths of hell
Were Lucifer holds her very soul
And basks in the very pain
He so easily created

Lucifer prince of pain
King of darkness
Walks among the broken hearts
Seeping in his blackened tar
Until the shell is all you see
And the soul is but a memory

I Fear

I went to the doctors the other day
I was having a lot of pain
I shrilly thought I was going to die
Apparently, all I had were stones inside
The doctor said that’s an easy fix
45minutes, you know that is quick
You’ll be under and we’ll take a part of you out
Still, fear fills my hear full of doubt
Doctors seem to cocky for me,
I know their smart, but some have swollen heads that fall to their knees
They all seem to think surgery is no big thing
I bet he be singing a different tune if he were the one in my shoes

Author's Note: I just found out I have to have my gallbladder removed, the doctor says
it's a simple surgery I go home the same day, but the idea of being cut open and having a
part of me taken out makes me a little scared

Song Within Me

Tell me, tell me is it true that a song lives deep within you
In your heart, your soul screaming to come out
Banging on the door, let me in, let me learn, let me love the
one who created all

I want to learn about my God
about his love for you
his love for me
about his mercy and grace
I want to see his face on the day of days

oh, I know that it is true
I know there's a song bagging to be free
living within me.
I want to sing his praises
I want to sing his name so all may know Jesus. God of Gods, King of Kings shine
your love, your light, your grace upon me.

God the father, you sent only son to help us find way back to your loving grace
How beautiful your way, guiding us taday
Loving us the the way you do

Oh, how I long to know you, to see your holy face, your love and grace for the
children you create how merciful your ways

Tell me, tell me is it true that a song lives deep within you
In your heart, your soul screaming to come out
Banging on the door, let me in, let me learn, let me love the
one who created all

My Father, My Hero

So many heroes, I have know
So many heroes’ names untold
The greatest still is kind
Loving and even smarter then he knows
He holds the love of so many
But no one loves him more then I
His oldest Daughter, Sarah Jho

So many lives have change for the words he wrote
Some find it hard to believe such beautiful words come from
A man who stutters so very bad
But make no mistake the most amazing poet of our day
Stutters as he tries to read the words he wrote

The greatest hero I have know has overcome so many pains
He battled drugs most of my life
Now years clean and he is back in my life
Hepatitis was the next test
But with no surprise as I knew he would
 He won that test
But saddened still nerves
Would die and he can labor no more and he feels a useless foal
But my hero do not worry for what God has in store

For a poet’s hands are meant to write
Hold a pen, and dance on paper
To create a piece of art
God has chosen a new path for my hero’s life

Happy Birthday Antoinette

Story books have got it wrong
Step mothers are the greatest gifts of all

Antoinette you are a blessing on my family’s life
I am so happy you are my father’s wife

Michaela is the sweetest girl, glad she’s my sis
You’re my family I truly miss

God truly blessed us when he brought you around
Hope your birthday is full of love, laughter, and songs

Because you gave me the greatest gift of all
It is because of you I have my father back

You are our cornerstone the brick that keeps us up
Thank you for all of your unconditional love

Happy birthday to my mother, friend
My angel sent from God above

May you know you are truly loved

Clean Up Time

Clear the table
Line the books along the shelves
Everyone join in
Arrange the chairs so none can fall
Naughty children don’t pitch in

Under chairs and under tables check we haven’t missed a toy
Paints and brushes put away

Toys are all picked up for today
I read a story as we wait
Mom’s or Dad’s are on their way
Everyone its time to go…..I hope you had a real fun day
