Addie Backel Poem
Kids in the summer,
Running, jumping, and playing.
Biking in the neighborhood,
Yelling Loudly down the streets,
Not ready for school to start.

Addie Backel Poem
The day that tragedy struck the land,
We watched two buildings fall like sand.
We saw the face of death firsthand.
To this day, we don't understand.
The day in which we will remember.
The day where families were changed forever.
On this day we gather together,
To honor those who died in September.
But every day we must go on.
Accept that those we love are gone.
Try not to stay awake past dawn,
Thinking of those who have passed on.

Addie Backel Poem
The scope of one painting
Puts on quite a show.
From the depths of the river,
To the windy, rocky road.
The mysterious woman
Has a garment of dark wear,
And a veil of secrets
That lie upon her metallic hair.
She looks for an answer,
As her eyes seem to follow.
Wherever you turn,
There's a dark lurking shadow.
The mysterious woman
Has pale, silky skin,
And the cross of her arms
Tells she does not wear thin.
Her mysterious smile
Has fooled many, it appears.
Whether she feels witty or pleased,
We won't know for many years.
