Choose This Day

Why do I have to choose?
Don't ask me to do this, the test of my
virtues?

Did you send this man as part of me?
Then why, does play out, so confusing?

Love and loyality render me irrational.
I gave my heart to both of you, at the aisle.

To have and to hold until death do us part.
That decision would have been easier at
the start.

I prayed for your soul, when our lives
began.
Those nights we talked of Christ's
salvation plan.

Whom will I serve? Choose this very day.
I know what I must do, my thoughts in
disarray.

God, we must follow you beyond and
above.
Commanding us to choose you, as our
first love.

You sent us your Son, who died on the
cross.
Your returning draws nigh, so many are
still lost.

Enchanting Invite

Stop, smell the roses and take your time.
Drop your guard and open your prosaic mind.

Walk under a shower of fresh rain.
Look up beyond the common plains.

Up in the sky sets a big beautiful rainbow.
Take in the beauty, drop off your mental cargo.

Feel the breeze of the wind as it leaves no trace.
Soak up the rays of the sun beaming upon your face.

Lay out a blanket, in the middle of a flowered field.
Close your eyes, whelm up the smells it yields.

Nature rendered you into a peaceful slumber.
Enchantingly inviting you back into her chamber.

Loved

I love you, did I tell you enough?
I know life has been very tough.

My heart belongs to you..
Back to that day I said I do...

Do we have a future together?
Or does it end now and forever?

I love you, these words are heartfelt.
I wanted you to know how I really felt.

I am glad that we are still united as one.
I want our lives and our love to carry on.

I love you, from my heart and my soul.
I want you in my arms to have and to hold.

Today you have to catch your plane.
Starting a new job I couldn't get it arranged.

I have a fear in my heart that it might crash.
Reassuring me, you say you'll be back in a flash.

That night, I got a knock at the front door.
I went numb at the news I heard forsure.

On my telephone, was your voice one last time.
"I love you"...and that ended the line.

On my knees, with my face in my hands.
I lost my only love I did not understand.

My life without my love is tormenting.
Everyday, every night and every morning.

I love you I hope to see you soon one day.
Hoping to have that chance I cry and I pray.

Library of Limbo

Slipping into a reverie, I was somewhere else, Looking up, I saw only books on a shelf. Searching the corners deep in my soul, I found myself inside a “Library of Limbo.”

Unanswered questions ran through my mind— Why was I here? What fate would I find? In haste, I picked the volume called “Life,” Heavy in hand, it trembled with strife.

I opened its pages—stunned by what I saw: My actions, my words—all judged by God’s law. I closed it slowly and began to weep, Falling to my knees, sorrow running deep.

Then a book marked Sin fell to the floor, Its log of darkness I couldn’t ignore. With trembling hands, I dared to look— And knew in my soul—I had part in that book.

My heart felt tormented, aching within, I placed the book beside one labeled Repent. Drawn by longing, compelled by grace, I picked it up with reverent pace.

Tears spilled down as I started to pray— Every sin I had ever known, now washed away. I bowed my head, “Lord, I have sinned, forgive me.” “I accept You with all of my soul and sincerity.”

With urgency then, I reached for Saved, And read, “Through Christ, you are eternally claimed!” Another book tumbled gently to my lap—Heaven— Its card still good, its message a blessing given.

“My child,” it read, “Heaven waits for you.” The joy I felt was holy, deep, and true. I woke from the library—dizzy, aglow— With peace in my heart, knowing where I’ll go.

"illusive Heart"

"Illusive Heart"

I feel lonely, and yet you are here.
You hold me close; but, your heart isn't sincere.

You utter bittersweet promises that all will come true.
My heart doesn't believe anything; that is said, from you.

Your just fooling yourself if you think I wouldn't know.
All the covered up lies, that you have did; or ever told.

I came to you that night and stated we were through.
Leaving begging promises, my feelings; you left askew.

Munipulator of words you try another hand..
What part of "we're through" do you not understand?

I ultimately packed my heart and walked out forever.
Finally feeling free, as much as I could endeavor.

My Dearest Little Sister

My dearest little sister, who I adore..
God blessed me with you, forevermore.

Side by side, we will always be..
Through tears and heartache, I will never leave..

Through life's trials we will work them out together..
What I am trying to say is I will love you forever...

Babbling Brook

On and on went the constant stream of
sound..
I got lost in my own musings, the second
time around.

She babbled her notions, to living things
that drank her.
They savored up everything, that she had
to offer.

I followed her down to the end of the
journey..
Laying down next to her, I enjoyed the
tranquility!

Babbling Brook was spent from her travels
of the day.
But, she kept on moving as time drifted
away.

All of the rumors of nature, were imparted
to me..
Of what was to come and what was to be.

She slowed down her stream coming
upon a nook..
Never can she really rest~for she is a
babbling brook.

Roads and Paths

One day, I decided to take a different road.
Carrying feelings and baggage to eventually unload.
As I continue walking, uncertainties grip my mind.
They are following after me; I am running out of time.
This path is rendering me spell bound and confused.
Might as well go on, what do I have to lose?
I decided to keep on going, to where ever life leads me
Down different paths, each one will own a piece of history.
With eager anticipation, I walk down this new path of life
Knowing, I have a future because I belong to Jesus Christ.

Third Shifter Fog

Coming off third shift, My brain in a haze… Feeling worn and ancient, Dragging through the day’s maze.

I got home exhausted— As tired as a dog. Reached for a drink— Spilled water in the fog.

Grabbed for a sponge… But what did I meet? In my sleepy confusion— A Rice Krispie treat?! ??

My knees were aching, And so was my back. Tried to brush my teeth— Dropped the toothpaste cap!

Rummaging for cereal, With hunger in my belly, Found a bag and took a bite— Wait... was that jellyfish deli?! ????

Ran for mouthwash To cleanse that awful taste— Gargled boldly— Soap?! I spat in haste! ??

Night crept back in. Time to get dressed. Buttoned my shirt… Gave it my best.

But outside in the breeze— Someone gave a yell. “What is that smell?!” I couldn't quite tell…

Then I looked down— One shoe was black, one was blue. And on one unlucky sole… Was the culprit of the pew! ????

Poor Fat Mama..

There was once a fat mama wearing her bling bling.
She was dancin' the whole night away doin' her thing thing.
She danced so hard gettin' on her groove..
She got stuck and couldn't move.
Poor fat mama had to sell her bling.
To pay the EMS bill, that was there on the scene.
