Roads and Paths

One day, I decided to take a different road.
Carrying feelings and baggage to eventually unload.
As I continue walking, uncertainties grip my mind.
They are following after me; I am running out of time.
This path is rendering me spell bound and confused.
Might as well go on, what do I have to lose?
I decided to keep on going, to where ever life leads me
Down different paths, each one will own a piece of history.
With eager anticipation, I walk down this new path of life
Knowing, I have a future because I belong to Jesus Christ.

This is a fun, engaging couplet with a strong message of enduring with joy despite everyday doubt. Your protagonist is no damsel in distress, she's a consciensious thinker and doer. Thanks for the great work, Erin! Warm regards, John.
