Mine

Mine

Oh how my heart aches
And yearns for love
Oh how I pray
For blessings from above
Please, oh goddess
Aphrodite, so divine
Find me true love
One who will be mine

Firefly

10/5/19

Firefly

Twinkling across the night sky
He brings to me
The stars' brightness, a delight to see
The glorious, little firefly
He journeys so far and wide,
Confident, flamboyant, and filled with pride,
Twinkling across the night sky.

Lost

Lost in remembrance
Lost in space
Lost in the wilderness
Lost in an unknown place

This Life

This Life

Soon a plague of unbearable insanity
Will wreak havoc upon humanity
Misery, murder, and endless strife
Famine and drought
Will torture this life

Everything

Look me in my clear, blue eyes
And promise me, promise me!
That you'd never lie
Because though I act so strong and brave
My heart is an empty, lonely cave
That wants to be filled with trust for you
But if you trick me
I'll only lose
Everything

Tonight

Brown hair and brown eyes
A childish, playful smile
If I asked you to stay,
Could you for a while?
You can taunt me, you can tease me
To your heart's delight
But, darling, I beg of you,
Give me all of you tonight.
