Better Days

''Better Days"

Better days indeed!
Its been long since a smile appeared
upon my grumpy face.
The rain refused to fall,
It was now a dry heart like erosion to soil
of sadness and no hope...

We laughed with misery within
no sense of belonging, no sense of reality
a paranormal kaleidoscope.
imagination in order to get by starvation
growling stomach.

There was no place for tears, we endured and
conquered, we died not! ,we stood tall!
For we knew better days were ahead,
Better days indeed!

Bare

''Bare''
Dead whilst alive,
Forgotten yet solidly visible,
Underestimated but still the best there is.............
The sound of disappointment!
I am searching for a boy long forgotten,
Left for the bushes, never returned,
Still finding himself among st devours of life and thorns of deception,
Running for the hills,
In search of his purpose.
My peers Doctors,Soldiers and Focused!
I lay awake with my hair uncombed, blowing trees day dreaming of what
would be.....
The stains within the heart visible enough to bring tears into my
mama's eyes "Where is my boy?"
So lam running and running,
Never stopping, my blood pumping,
My spirit diluted with doubt and impatience,
My mental troubled with anxiety, panic attacks .....screaming and
bleeding ,
I hold on! I bow my head! I leave it all in the hands of Christ! I
still fight.......
I am looking for myself.

Ripped By a Rose

Ripped by a rose

She has a smile worth a thousand sunshines, even in the dark she glows...
She is the girl next door, Mary Jane.

I cannot ask for her numbers for she is the kind that humbles an eagle, she is one of a kind.

I am crushing hard, face first into the hive where bees sting hard like lies.
Tick tock! I am running out of time.... I got to make her mine.

The Untold Story of Africa Part Two

They are eating what's inside the dust bin! Yuck! Duck! Plug! ....Pooh! Woo! Doo!
No ways l am going back ehlathini! Kanti nithini?
Ngiyazithemba!

I am Zulu!
I am Sotho!
I am Tswana!
I am Pedi!
I am Shona!
I am Tsonga!
I am Afrikaner!
No l am biased! Freedom and peace brought us unity....we are all made of gold! Take a look at how we shine!

The ancestors of Africa!
The heartbeat of the Mother Land , the continent rich with culture! Sweet soil decadent like sweet Hennessy.... drowning our sorrows! Together we strong , divided cracks flood our Rainbow.
Africa Stand up! Unite

Let a Dictator like Bob fall down! You are not Mahat Maghandi ! We forgave but the wounds still annoys us, frustrations in the form of Vandalism....#feesmustfall #strikes #xenophobia Mzansi you have been through a lot....take a seat you are still young! 23 like the prime of David Beckham....fresh like grilled cheese.
My mother land you are truly a spectacle....you are blessed, your sons and daughters are strong.

Black ,White , Asian and Disabled this is a plea to the Nation of an African giant "Nigeria" Terrorism must stop!

Iam an African kid .... with an African dream.

Labour Pains

They held hands for the first time.
She , still a virgin.
Him , still a virgin.
A beautiful night of companionship,
That lasted a life time,
On that night of innocence,
As the bonding was formed.
A boy tiny in form was made.
Though tiny but a handsome miniature
Very mettlesome a kick to the womb,
Music to the ears of his folks.
This was no flaccid baby,
But a Conqueror in the making.
Showered by love moulded by sacrifice

Marley Muringakumwe

Given board and room.
A face, teeth, soccer ball feet and an almost perfect face. Funny when he shaves, He craves, begs, checks and says.... "Ndakamuka."

Teenage Mother

"Teenage Mother"

She had it all
A very bright tomorrow
She always smiled
Though broken internally.
All was rosy...
Until she stopped listening
To the voices of reason
We blame it all on adolescence
That girl was gone for good.
She started smoking
Boys were the only thing she understood more than any subject
Broken friendships
Many wrong choices.
She lost the most important key in life.........Education!
Her mother died from depression
An invisible father
She was now on her own...
Pregnant at fifteen
How can a toddler look after another toddler ?
When the baby cried,so was the mother.
She needed money for pampers, milk ,napkins and rent,
So she traded her body for a piece of bread and chicken change.
It was all over for her at sixteen,
She watched as her peers enjoyed the gift of youth
So many regrets,yet no solutions.
Another baby in her belly
Disease in her veins
Alcohol in her breath
She died at eighteen
What will happen to the lives left behind?

Spotlight

The world is a stage,
We are all thespians,
Same pulpit different speech,
Same director none can escape but different scripts,
Different roles and different accolades,
That's life so play your role right the universe got its camera zoomed on you.

We judge others forgetting we are in the same chapter.
We focus on the Protagonist forgetting we are Antagonists
and the roles are constantly switching thus tables turn,
One minutes you are the Villain , the next a Hero.

Make sure when the almighty director with the big screen watching us as we do our thing by the time he yells cut you contributed your art constructively.

The scene is yours , take an Oscar for it.

Needle Stuck In the Arm

"Needle stuck in the arm"

I am slowly fading away.... I am stuck in my
own world, The more l try to run, the worse the cravings become.
Cannot recognize the face l am seeing when l look in the mirror, it
feels like something has taken over me. This demon l tolerated for so
long is engulfing all that's good about me. I cannot be trusted for
nothing else matters besides getting a fix! A delepitated health is
all that's left of me, I was warned! But never listened. My judgement
is constantly clouded, l am a mess.
 Needle stuck in the arm....

Too Sudden

Too sudden....."

Born today ,gone tomorrow!
Its life's everyday hym,
For time is never ours to keep,
Yet we hope for the sun to shine tomorrow,
As we shut our eyes,we die in faith,
Life moves at a swift pace.
You can never love enough!
You can never laugh enough!
You can never cry enough!
For todays 's memento is alreday gone by,
As the sun set ,stars will shine,
Yet we forget the moon.
Appreciate the raindrops that fall on your face,
Little but effective, for every second matters,
It is not in our hands the time we claim to have,
No man understands,
Only he the Time keeper.
Let's cherish our loved ones whilst our eyes still see them,
Let turn the invisible,visible,
For love will keep us together,
We unite only to be apart,
For we are living on borrowed time.
Born today ,gone tomorrow!
