Derek Ebeltoft Poem
I've been there with you every single time, even tried to stop you from doing
crime.
One gets their wings every time you hear a chime, I hope I get mine I am the next
in line.
We've been through bad and a lot more good, I've protected you every chance I
could.
It's not luck so don't knock on wood, second thought maybe you
should.
My job isn't an easy task , it's even harder when you drink from the
flask.
Don't be afraid to take off that ugly mask, I am going to help you all you have to
do is ask.
I will light up your way when it is dark, or push you on the swing alone in the
park.
The fun we had in that buick skylark, Wow the times you had really left its
mark
Now the line has moved up one more, don't be afraid to walk out that
door.
If you fall I'll pick you up off the floor, dust you off but you might be a little
sore.
He knows you mean well just wait and see, he's already gave you what you
need.
A guardian angel without his wings, now we can fly away as another bell
rings.
