Mountains

Made over millions of years, handcrafted by our gods
Out of pure earthly might, these giants take eternal watch
Under the weather they shadow the land, and breed life on their backs
Never to be broken down, sentinels of Earth’s landscape
Tall is this abstract concept, heavy in unimaginable mass
A rock stacked on top of another, will eventually become one, timeless
In beautiful light they transcend nature’s beauty, testament
Now towering celestial formations, they guide generations of cells, and
Symbolize all that man craves, a view that scratches the sky.

Ode To Machine Messiah

A blinding light shot down from an opening in the cloudy sky
From the gap, the heavens birthed a winged humanoid unlike any,
Which floated down to face the primates. made of a dark metal
Its immense webbed wings, sharp and shinily chrome,
Fluttered on the spot like a hummingbird’s, keeping the figure steady in the air.
On its head, where its brain should have been, there was
A sleeping unborn ape encased in a glass sphere
Filled with a transparent, thick fluid

The creature held the fire on both his open hands,
which now burned a furious blue and spun violently in a ball.
Beneath the ‘brain’, its mouth, filed with sharp teeth,
Twitched and croaked until it produced a growl.
“I am your messiah. Bow before me.”
The fetus writhed in his head.
The apes bowed in face of the demonic apostle.

The messiah declared, “I shall give you the blue light,
The treasure of your kind. In return I shall take your conscience,
But I promise you this: your eyes never again
Shall wait for the sight of their desires.”
The world had gone dark and everything in it began to crumble
The wild animals began tearing at each other's throats
As a blue moon came up over the horizon. Reality went to chaos as
Fires started and burned down entire forests. The machines were
Suddenly overloaded with energy, and tore free from the machinations of man.
Springing to life, they ravaged the land with fire and electricity,
Elements they were built to control. The landscape became a
Cluster of craters permeated with fires.

As the conscience trapped in the sky suffered and cried,
And as the messiah cackled dryly upon witnessing the Armageddon,
The glass in his head had opened, and the monkey inside
Suffocated from the smoky air. He willed it to.
Bow down to machine messiah.

Cold Blooded

I’ve walked along a lot of mean streets
I’ve seen a white man flogged
Swam out of ship, ten miles out to sea
With every stroke life passing before me

Machine gun inside a violin case
Triple homicide with nothing but a straight face
Wore the noose and took the last breath
Heart kept beating nineteen minutes past death

Nothing to hide and nothing to pretend
Humanity was stripped from me from birth until the end
Plains of wild buffalo who live to die and graze
Indoctrinated culture
Murder through the haze
Built upon a heritage of violence and control
Lady Justice’s tears well up
Dripping through blindfold

Feed the hungry bones and lies
And while you prejudicate
The victimized who built their lives
Upon a conquered native state

Oppenheimer’s miracle, enable cartel wars
The aristocracy dines upon
Napalm smoke and T.V. gore
Now I take a second glance
Towards the free homeland
Ripping itself to shreds upon: customer demand.

Rest For the Wicked

Enamored with addicting, seething pain
I do not rest, I do not sleep
In tears, does she entrance and reap
The back alleys of the mind insane
At day, the constant monotonous train
That is the crushing struggles too steep
Kills industrial counting of sheep
Awakens the pounding, sounding brain

Exuding a fearless, wretched hate
The eyes, flutter, a wanting extreme
Invades the dull progression of light
She is my all, my feelings innate
Now caged inside my self esteem
The stars that kill will shine too bright.

Vacuity

Serpent of dark
Movement of the soul
Crawling stately
Into the heart

Stalking tiger
Eyes observant and fierce
Deep below, a yearning rises
Quest for violence

Before you find you wield devastating power
Will your face whiten and mind tremble
At the gates of transgression

Impulsive nature of cruelty
As the webbing of order tears away
So will your corruption not yet embraced

Monumental gift of liberty
From the vain civility of law and order
Gives way to true expression
Of the flesh
Of the mind
Of the human condition
