Scars

People have seen you on the surface,
I have looked beyond what's socially perfect.
I have seen that crooked cut on your forehead, telling the story of a notorious kid.
While those lines on your temple are the sad story tellers of all life did.
I see how those stretch marks on your waist that people often stare,
Are nothing but an unsung history  of the warrior you were.
I know people have just scrutinized what they see on surface,
But I know my scars makes me human and that's prettier than 'perfect'.
