The Blessings of Another Day

THE BLESSINGS OF ANOTHER DAY

Thank you Lord for waking me up, and starting me on my way.
For health, food and shelter, clothed in my right mind,
The blessings of another day.
You watched over me as I slumbered and slept,
Kept hurt harm and danger away.
Thank you Lord, as I praise your name
For the blessings of another day.
You bid my moments a while longer to roll on
Through your tender mercies and grace.
You gave me patience power and strength to run this Christian race.
‘Tis not by my goodness or much that I’ve done
That granted me these good deeds.
But by your compassion and faithfulness,
And your promise to supply all my needs.
So I thank you Lord for loving kindness and care,
And the joy you sent my way.
But most of all I express gratitude
For The Blessings Of Another Day

To What Do We Owe Thee?

To what do we owe thee for the sacrifice of your son?
The shedding of His precious blood to show love for everyone.
The death of Christ was necessary to save us from our sin,
For the glory of our Heavenly Father, life and peace within.
The gift of salvation was our God's compassionate plan,
As He included all mankind from each and every land.
The emblem of the rugged cross was filled with suffering and shame,
But eternal life was God's purpose all in Jesus' name.
At first Jesus spoke not a word, as He hung there on the cross,
The propitiator for all our sins, so we would not be lost.
As the hour neared for Christ's death, He murmured a forgiving word,
He directed His wish and last request as He looked upon the Lord.
"Forgive them Father", Jesus said, "For they know not what they do",
Through pain and anguish, He stayed on the cross just to save me and you.
Jesus' mission was accomplished when He hung His head and died,
The nails driven in His hands and feet, two thieves hung by His side.
The victory of death was heartbreaking, and it seemed all hope was gone,
But now our Saviour Jesus Christ sits right hand on the throne.
What an awesome act of love, delivered with no charge or fee,
To God be the glory for all He's done, everlasting life is free!

Heavenly Peace

Mother said she was getting weary,
And wanted to be at rest.
But God saw her work unfinished,
And kept her 'til He thought it best.
Now her work has been done,
A race well run,
The troubles of the world will cease.
She deserves the best, of eternal rest,
Sleep on in Heavenly Peace

A Burden Bearer

When friends and loved ones promise, they'll always be there for you.
Intentions are well with sincere hearts, but friends have problems too.
When life's issues seem to take control, and you're feeling all alone.
Our God sits high, yet He looks low, remember He's still on the throne.
For God is a problem solver, and your burdens He'll help you to bear.
Cast ALL your cares and sorrows on Him, and leave your troubles there.

No Better Friend

When darkness encompasses about you,
And it seems your world's tumbling down.
Just look to Jesus who will lift you up,
And spread His love all around.

For His love is all eternal,
His mercy and grace is your friend.
He'll never leave nor forsake you
And he'll be there 'til the end.

For somewhere over the rainbow,
The sun comes shining through.
The darkness of night is past shadow,
And you'll know He walks beside you.

Believe that you're never alone,
Let Jesus be your guide.
Trust Him, for He'll take care of you
No matter or what err' betide.

So anchor your soul in Jesus,
For on Him you can depend.
Nobody can do you like Jesus
There is no better friend.

Just Jesus

Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, the sweetest name I know.
I'll spread the word of His goodness, and tell it everywhere I go.
Oh, my Saviour Jesus, how majestic is thy name,
Without your love and presence, my life would ne'er be the same.
Oh, that great name Jesus, such wonders to perform,
I have that blessed assurance while I'm safe in His loving arm.
Oh, my precious Jesus, who died to set me free,
The cross is such a comfort to be nearer my God to Thee.
Just speak the name of Jesus, the name I truly love,
Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, the Son of God above.

To Run This Race

Life has it's share of ups and downs,
And times of uncertainty too.
But know that God the Almighty one is always
there for you.

He'll give you zeal and power, to run this
Christian race.
But endurance comes with the reception of God's
amazing grace.

His grace is all sufficient, abundant in
blessings too.
Our Father in Heaven shows compassion, giving
added strength anew.

So run this race with patience, on Jesus you
can depend.
Just trust, believe, have faith in Him.
He'll see you through 'til the end.
