Bri Berhane Poem
Life is like a river,
There are many ways to go through it.
If you choose wisely you can go through the right path,
Life will always have twist and turns and so will rivers so you should just go with the flow.
Lakes are filled with beauty,
if you need a break from your world, go to the lake,
A day at the lake can bring out the best in everyone,
But if you mistreat them, they will turn into black water even blacker than charcoal.
Lakes make beautiful reflections and shine so bright,
They light up the sunrise and sometimes the sunset.
A lake is something that you can talk to and it will never judge for what you say,
It will always be there every night and every day.
The lakes are what comfort us in the darkest days,
When you are lonely do not be scared,
The lakes are right there just waiting for you to come near.
You can hear splashing and waterfalls,
Waves in the lakes are like music to your ears,
Make an effort to spend a day at the lake!
