Let's Make Beef Stew Great Again

Our country is turning to .
And not like a pretty that your pet cat hid pretty well in his litter box
No.
A Big Fat Obvious Odorous Cow ,
The kind you can smell driving up the gravel road almost a mile away and think
“Hm, must be coming up on a farm because that’s some right there.”

My favorite game show is
“Whose life is the Worst?”
Starring every white teenage girl who lives in a neighborhood
Named something like “Shady Oaks” or “Pleasant Trees”
Winner gets a look of pity and bragging rights.
Runner up gets a shirt that says
“I was born White and all I got was this lousy Bill of Rights”

Our 1st world problems are serious
I made a Facebook status about the Hurricanes
And not to brag but it got 115 likes.
I’m helping the immigrants on their road from pain to sorrow,
I share all the “please share” posts
One like equals one prayer
I donated an old teddy bear to the Salvation Army
Because I care about humanity.

Pure irony cannot justify the countless deaths we have watched,
Tweeted,
Posted,
And
Then voted for.
We voted for that
Pretentious privileged president
Who wants to make a dying country great again.
We stopped being great when we became a nation that turns away nations.
We are connected as a nation
As a great melting pot filled with a delicious stew
That will only accept peas
And turn away the carrots and potatoes and beef
Because we don’t want to ruin this recipe
Let’s make Beef Stew Great Again
Except this beef stew has turned into a Campbell’s chicken noodle soup
The noodles are shaped into stars
So we forget that we aren’t feeding nutrients to our children
We are feeding them pretty little lies and hearty hatred
That they will then feed their children.
“But hey!
We watched Fox News last night!
We know that children are starving in Africa!”
If you know that
Then why do you continue to sit on your couch
Eating your soup instead of offering them any?
I’ve had my fill
Haven’t you?
