You

No I don't,
Talk about you anymore;
I don't see you too,
I've no cogent reason either;
For such ludicrous capers of mine.
Coz if I did, I know
I'd whisper only your name
On all forevers;
That'd come and go.

I still watch you scream out
Your lungs, for her.
I still watch you bleed
Your ruptured veins for her.
I know not still, what to say;
I can't call out too
Your name, no -
From my lips, I can't
Utter the word,
Those seven letters form..

My eyes are red,
My lips cracked.
My throat is dry
Yet I can't gulp down;
The red wine you serve
Alongside your words
Seared on a brazier; yet
Since day one of your advent.

With my thoughts I lay
Toss and turn on the bed.
I've become a night owl
Waiting not for you,
But for the insomnia
To die down for the night;
So I can lament over
Your verses anew,
The very next day.

You fill some good pages
With your blue ink,
That still smells of her.
The dust coated books
In your closet of poesy;
Looks nothing but an old frame,
Alluring but derisive,
Built from the revered timber;
Excised from my heart.

Maybe I'm just going porangi
I know not what to call it.
There's nothing I can do
Nor do I want to either.
For I can always suffice
One way or the other.
Sometimes the raindrops
Sometimes the metaphors
Bring me your love.
Like a praxis that becomes-
More puissant with every passing,
I cling onto this epiphany,
Hoping one fine day;
You'll come and say-
" I knew it all along "
" I knew it all along " ..

The Undeniable

We've become so used to monsters,
Camouflaged as purple-shaded immortal beings;
That we've simply overlooked,
Our human capabilities of solidarity.

We've disposed of the warmth we once shared,
And instead left each other alone;
With only our demons and mental insecurities,
To shatter even the minute pieces of integrity in our soul.

Out feelings have become so volatile,
That they even evaporate in front of our eyes sometimes;
Then reconstitute, only to melt away again,
Further strengthening the rebellion in our squirming silhouette of a mind.

Yet in the expanse of time, we'll be nothing,
Materialism however seems to consume all our senses,
Like an unintelligible whisper in a silent room,
Reality only makes a phantomlike touch on our finger tips.

You

You said you loved me,
But you stopped loving me.
You said I'm the one,
But you stopped making me feel that way.

I don't know why we were even together,
Gave me nothing but memories, I couldn't bear to carry.
I can't fathom if you can live without me,
Trying my best to stay as happy as possible.

Does it ever get lonely,
When you think about us?
Does it shake you up deep within,
Wondering if we could've sorted it out somehow.

Nobody ever made me feel the way you did,
Since the time out paths diverged.
Nobody can bring back the days,
We had, when everything was so perfect.

When you love someone,
You don't let them lose you this way.
When you're scared of losing them forever,
You don't think before opening up your heart.

All the empty days and the lonely nights,
We're searching for lights to pass through the dark.
All the love and trust,
We've to so many puzzles to solve.

Why are we waiting so long,
When we can just stand next to each other.
Why are we hurting so much,
When we can't take it any longer.

I wanna be there with you,
Things can get better anyway.
I wanna be the us we used to be back then,
Share this life with you 'coz I miss you.

Emotions

Was it just a coincidence to have seen you,
On that fateful day.
Was it a misunderstanding that I loved you,
From that moment itself.

As I feel my thoughts now fading,
Into a deep spiral of delusion.
I can't imagine how long it'd take me,
To come out of this apparition.

Maybe my mind is too bewildered,
Since a long time, perhaps how long I can't remember.
Maybe my emotions dawdle awfully, so,
They're unable to settle on anything stable since so long.

Blue

The world's blue,
The seas and the skies,
The mountains and the flowers,
The fumes and the lights,
And the lover in our hearts dive deep,
Towards the waterbed of blue love.

Humane

Dig only until your fingers can reach,
don't fall face down into the ground,
you're not soil yet

Extend your hands only until warmth is still home,
don't deplete yourself of what you give,
even stars die a cold death

Build your fences only until their faces are friends'
don't reach for the sun,
you'll only burn yourself

Sing to the gods only until your voice is air
don't meddle with hands
religion isn't only yours to reclaim

Guard your walls only until the soldiers are rivals
don't stick your guns at every gate
not all neighbors are villains

Count the waves only until the sea waves back
don't wait for the sun to sink
your boat is holed of your own feet

Rush back home on more than weekends
don't fit love into tight routines,
time doesn't entertain belated guests

Love until your bones are soil
don't worry about bills and gods
humane is the best you can.

You didn't die young

How lucky it is
to have winds of time
weather your frame
like sand,
to have bones
made feeble by age,
to love
till it rots,
to have lived
until spring rises from your heart.

Someday, when
your eyes would open
like the sunrise,
and new birds would sing
an old tale,
you'll be an earthworm
building a legacy, this world
can never pull down.
