look at me

look at me, what do you see, look at me
when I look at you, I see a pinkish looking person
but you prefer to be called white
I see you for all that you are, and all that you endeavour to be
look at me
when you look at me you see a black person
but you prefer to say that you see no colour at all
look at me
when you say that you see no colour at all, your saying that I do not exist
look at me
your degrading me and trying to make me feel insignificant
not worthy of you even saying that you see me for the black woman that I am
look at me
for I am someone with so many good qualities to offer my community
look at me
with a smile on your face, you call yourself my friend
"yes my friend" you know exactly who I am
for the blood that runs through your veins also runs through mine
look at me, what do you see, look at me
I am the great granddaughter of mother Africa
look at me, what do you see, look at me
I am the great granddaughter of the first peoples of the Americas
look at me, what do you see, look at me
I am the great granddaughter of the European slave owners
look at me, what do you see, look at me
I embrace all that I am, for I know who I am

MANKIND

MANKIND

man has the technology to fly into outer space, explore mars
walk on the moon, make weapons of mass destruction
deploy drones to destroy his fellow men
pollute mother earth
but he is not conscious or moral enough to live in peace with his fellow men on mother earth
all humanity is one, but for the greed of men trying to control the world and all its natural recourses and wealth
all that mother earth has to offer us humans, given freely by her
and now man wonders why she is angry with us
and is now deploying her weapons of natural disasters
wake up! wake up! mankind before it is to late
climate change is real!

LIFE

to be given the gift of life "oh" what a wonderful thing"
to have been created from man and woman
to experience life's many challenges, from birth to death, your first cry to your last sigh,to embrace all that life has to offer, without being afraid to live, and to take the many leaps of faith, which this world demands of us,do not be afraid and hinder your growth
explore the many wonders of mother earth, enjoy all that she gives you
the good and the bad, seek always the good and do not despair when you are confronted with disappointments, for as long as you are on this earth you will experience some kind of calamities and adversaries,do you not realize how blessed we are
take time to look at the rising sun each morning, shinning in the sky
its magnificent colours of gold with pinks and blues draped across the horizon
listen to the rain drops beating on your window pane, each drop playing its own musical tune, before busting into a zillion water beads, forming an abstract, the envy of any canvas
feel the dew under your feet in the early morning as you walk on the green grass, look at the beauty all around you, smell the scent of the flowers as they awaken, listen as the little creatures stir, and the birds begin to sing
"oh" what a glories day to be alive"
in the evening watch the setting sun, and immerse yourself in its vibrant colours of fire gold and reds shimmering over the ocean
look to the night sky, see the twinkling stars glittering like diamonds in the sky, and the bright golden moon "oh" what a wonderful night to be alive"
know matter were you live on this earth take time to enjoy your life, there is beauty in all things, " you just have to pick the gold from the glitter"
and as we continue life's journey, remember that life is simple, but we humans with our insatiable hunger to consume beyond are needs has made it so complex
believe in the creator and the power of prayer, live life by loving, giving and forgiving, moving forward with integrity and gratitude
"oh" how wonderful it is to be alive"

A MORNING PRAYER TO THE SUN

Good morning sun, as we enter into a new year, I thank God for you,

I thank you for blessing me with your rays of love light and energy, shining ever so brightly each day.
no matter what austerities, adversities or circumstances that may come your way you are forever constant.

I want to be just like you, to shine ever so brightly each day, no matter austerities, adversities or circumstances that may come my way.
I thank you every morning, for all that you do, if you did not do the things that you do, life on this planet earth would cease to exist.

My father created the sun, the moon, the stars, and all the planets in the galaxies and the universities, he created them all.
then he created this planet earth and all things on it, the oceans, the rivers, the mountains, the trees all plant life on land and in the sea, all animal life on land and in the sea, all precious metals, gemstones, oils and gases.

My father created them all, then he created men and women and gave us this planet for our home, he made us the custodians of this planet earth and all things on it.
And even though at time we are so undeserving of this great honor, but God is a loving and forgiven father and I am so grateful for his love and grace.

I am a child of God and of the light, my father and I am one, I am that I am, in the name of the father the son and the holy spirit my lord and savior Jesus Christ, may you wash me with your blood make me anew cleanse me of all my sins and transgressions.
To you my father I give all things, you know my heart, my desires, my wants and my needs.

forever grateful for the gift of life, to earths custodians please take care of mother earth for there is no other!
