Hidden Gift

This is a funny story,
How I found what I call glory.
I have tried all kinds of hobbies.
None of them ever satisfied me.
I did't know I had this gift, until
I used a pen and paper so swift.
I love to write, it makes me feel good.
I like stories that can be understood.
I called my mom who lives out of town
I told her about my gift I had found.
She laughed and told me it was nice.
She also gave me some sound advice.
Months went by and the years too,
I just kept writing like I always do.
My husband had a smile when I came
home one day, he really acted like he
had something to say.
He said I missed a call that he had
took.
He gave me a kiss and said "" They're
going to publish your book.""
I jumped for joy and began to smile,
So thankful for the hidden gift I found.

Dear Mr. President

President, President what have you done?

There has been so much trouble since you won.

Seeing you on T.V. you seemed to be so wise.

Your years in office has really opened a lot of eyes.

I know you meant good, and you tried to do well,
but this country, excuse me, is going through hell.

Our lives were going good, and some were doing great, but now it's hard to put
food on our plates.

Can you tell us what has happen to our economy?

Have you used too much of the country's money?

Gas prices are so high today,
that each week we fill up it takes most of our pay.

It seems like America is under a curse,
because things in our country keep getting worse.

We will always wonder what really were your plans, because me and others use
to be your biggest fans.

WE hope you accomplished what you intended to do.

You really don't realize the pain we're going through.

You may be rich and have it all,
but why do the middle class and the poor have to fall?

We are not talking about people who don't work or try.

Were talking about people who work 2 or 3 jobs
just to get by.

Sex

Sex is not just two warm bodies rubbing together making friction.

Sex is really like an addiction.

Sex is not nasty or bad.

Sex depends on the partner you had.

Some like it fast, and some like it slow.

Some just can't keep up with the flow.

Some like it from the front, and some like it from the back.

Some do it to prevent a heart attack.

Sex is good and sex can be fun,
but some people are happy when it is over and done.

Old School Talk

Grandma asked me did I mind going to the store.

I gave her a look as if I wasn't sure.

Grandma begin to start one of her speeches, which really sounds like one of my
teachers.

Grandma begin to say, she had to work hard for her pay, and that I would learn
what thats like one day.

She said just to buy a can of lard, she had to work in somebody's yard.

Grandma said " When I was young, sometimes being a child wasn't so much fun.

She said she had to study real hard in school , because she wasn't going to be
nobody's fool.

By the time grandma finished high school, she found out about a new rule.

The rule was she must go to college, to better her education and gain more
knowledge

Grandma went to college and got her degree, she said if I follow in her footsteps
that could some day be me.

After that long old school talk, straight to the store I did walk.

I made up in my mind right at that time, if grandma ever ask me to go to the store
I won't give her that look anymore.

Unstable But Able

There was a time when my life wasn't stable.

Like when it was tough to choose between the lights and the cable.

My children didn't really understand,
If mommy was the women or if she was the man.

Whenever I went to bed at night,
I couldn't sleep, because my life wasn't right.

I knew I had to make a change,
but it really seemed out of my range.

I got so tired of feeling sad and blue.

I tried to think of something to do.

I found a place I could be out of sight,
so I fell to my knees, and folded my hands so tight.

I prayed long and strong with all my might,
when I was all done I started to feel really light.

Some months went by and we struggled a bit.

Some how the pieces in our puzzled lives started to fit.

This story is true, and I hope you read it.

I learned that in lifes struggles we mustn't quit.

As long as God is in our lives we can definitely make it.

Summer Love

Summer is a beautiful time of the year.
Flowers are blooming lovely, and can be seen so clear.
Summer is about fashion, food and fun, it can also be the perfect time to run.
I love summer because you see a lot of green, and this is when I break out my
sewing machine.
Summer is a time when you should look your best, so I sew clothes that I think
look better than the rest.
Dresses, skirts, and pretty blouses, I have even made a pair of adorable
trousers.
Summer is warm and summer is sweet, and this is when people really feel like
a treat.
Ice cream, candy, maybe a piece of pie, I love summer so much I hate telling it
goodbye!!!

Thank You!!!

These are two very special words.

They can be comforting too.

Some people don't care or even have a clue.

How not saying those two little words can make somebody blue.

Saying thank you can mean a lot coming from me or you.

If your not the thank you type
Well here's something I think you should do.

Remember how it feels when someone says thank you to you.

Now you need to return the love and say thank you too!!!

Look you've added to your vocabulary and started something new.

Could This Be a Poem?

Is it a bunch of words written on a piece of paper?

Is it lyrics spoken over a hype beat?

Is it a feeling of self expression, or does a poem speak for others?

I heard some that rhymed and some that reasoned.

Some make you laugh while others make you cry.

There are short ones and long ones.

But what is a poem?

A poem is whatever you want it to be, however you want to say it, write it, or
express it.

Could this bundle of words placed together be a poem?
You decide.

Road Rage

What is Road Rage?

Let's see, it happens everyday to you and me.

Listen to this senario and you will see.

Your driving down the street listening to your favorite beats.

Trying to drive with care, and all of a sudden this car appears from out of
nowhere.

You try to make a sudden stop, but all you hear is this great big pop!

You thank God that your alive, but feel the anger raging deep down inside.

You slowly say your alphabet, so you can calm down and forget.

Now weather your driving with friends or your all alone.

Remember no texting or being on the phone.

This little tip could save your life.

Now pass this on to your friend, husband or wife.
