My Lady of Spirit

I cannot breathe, I only sit and sing,
Singing and sitting have become such a bore,
They only leave your behind sore,
Oddly, if left alone for so long,
Longings are only for kisses and song,
A lady who passes along is a great gift for the heart and soul,
For she offers me kisses and sweet melody,
Her melodies are so illusive,
So faint, they make me faint,
She creates music without instrument,
For she herself is an instrument,
The sound of her kisses echo deep inside my ear,
And melt like an incense endlessly into my spirit,
I do not know this feeling, but I know her and I are in a marriage of spirits,
We are me, we are her.

Ensnare

A pendant so shiny, covered in shroud,
Decorated and designed with every longing to ensnare,
Ensnare the remaining corpse of a love that rot,
Beguiling enough it was, that it did soothe that angry rot,
And a moment there was when the decay was forgot,
But for the facade, soon the worms did sprout,
And allies became for the rot,
Attracting the scavengers that finished the corpse to nought.

Lightning Was the Only Light

It was one of those nights full of thunder that I emerged from my deep slumber into the darkness.
Indeed, lightning was the only light,
It rained and I shivered,
But my wife slept next to me,
She was my refuge,
My fortress from the menacing darkness,
I stopped shivering and I slowly melted into her arms,
And suddenly, all her energy grasped and invaded me and all I knew was her,
Her lips showered me and I let her take me,
We disappeared into each other and felt all of us pervaded by a deep love,
We were born again,
Into all that is timelessness,
Piercing shots of light shot my skin into what was morning,
I emerged from the slumber into the light.

He Is of Spirit

I cannot breathe, I only sit and sing,
Singing and sitting have become such a bore,
They only leave your behind sore,
Oddly, if left alone for so long,
Longings are only for kisses and song,
A gentleman who passes along is a great gift for the heart and soul,
For he offers me kisses and sweet melody,
His melodies are so illusive,
So faint, they make me faint,
He creates music without instrument,
For he himself is an instrument,
The sound of his kisses echo deep inside my ear,
And endlessly into my spirit, melt like incense,
I do not know this feeling, but I know he and I are in a marriage of spirits,
We are me, we are him.

Feed

My love for you has turned me into a carcass,
Dry, grey and lifeless,
My heart cracks each time it sees you,
Unable to beat and pound like it used to,
My neck, I cut open, so from my fear you could get intoxicated,
Each time you were done, you would lick my wound and dress it in piles of bandages,
So that I could not put my head up,
Each time I looked at you,
I was bowing down,
Just as you my lord desired,
You continued your meals of me,
Until at last, my neck broke,
You said my blood now tasted vile,
Yet it did not deter you from sucking more,
Even if only droplets remained when my neck you broke,
You put me on an altar, where you never miss a day of worship,
I'm stiff and stone,
And even now, I wonder what intoxicates you,
I wonder, since my neck can no longer do you any service,
Feed on me some more,
For I still have bones and dry flesh.

Soil

On that wall down by the river,
You will find my name written in blood,
Thorns pricked me on my breasts and back,
The soil drank my blood,
Drained me,
I will eat the soil now,
It's my turn.
