Depression

A moment away from losing it
Being strong isn't easy
Crazy thoughts running through my head
Death is a regular one
Enough pain has been had
For now, I'm suffering
Going insane inside my brain
Having to fight back the urge
I can't fight it anymore
Just one tear away from goodbye
Keeping me here to hurt
Loving nobody, not even myself
Might even go today
No one will even care
Oh well, I'm used to it
Pretending to love me, when you really don't
Quiet lies escaping your lips
Running from pain is keeping me safe
Safe until I'm found
The silence can't continue
Understanding I must now explain
Voices are telling me I most go
Why am I still here
Xanax not even working
Zero motivation to live

Dear Dad

Dear Dad, you left me but I understand why
You finally got your wings and you started to fly
My heart hurts the most, I doubt will heal
But I try to comprehend the pain that you did feel
All the meds you had to take, oxygen all day
We all wanted you to live but that's not the right way
Yes I'm selfish and I'm mad, I feel I needed you more
But God has better plans, something big for you in store
Please look after me and the kids, keep your eyes on us
Because we lost the best man, we lost our greatest love
You'll forever be my Dad, my best friend 'till the end
Wait on me, for that day, we'll finally meet again
I'll look after Mom, I won't ever leave her side
Me, the kids, and mom, I think we'll be alright
