A Moment In Time

There was a hollow in her heart she couldn't shake
Every breath was getting harder to take
Her hands shook and her head began to spin
Was there ever going to be a break, could she ever win?
A moment in time she loved with all she could give
Each day was becoming harder to live
She couldn't tell if he was true or just using her
Life as she new it was becoming a blur
A heart so pure and so true was breaking in two
Every turn, every corner was becoming a obstacle to do
A moment in time she would have given everything
Anything for him she would of done but heartache is all he'd bring
There were moments that laughter and love filled her heart
Now there is doubt and suspicion, confusion tearing it apart
Others tell her to leave and move on
How does she let go of the one she loves so completely
A love she had never allowed to let in or had before, how do you make it gone?
She opened her heart and soul finally
He is the one she let touch the core of her kindness and love
People are telling her to release like its a dove
A moment in time choices are made every moment some easy some hard
Its like griping tightly to the almost perfect hand waiting for the last right card
A moment in time she struggles to hold onto the one she knows she loves.

The Cross You Bear

Taking the time to figure out where you are in life is hazy.
Friends will sometimes turn into enemies.
The varying effect of friendships measured in degrees.
Told you before that I am easy-going and accepting.
But you had to lie to me with great deception.
What to do with the knowledge I have is complicating.
Then again we have difference of perception.
For you I would have done anything and everything!
My kindness you took and started obliterating.
Faith and trust in you I had is destroyed.
My emotions are not here to be toyed!
When you find that you are lost and need a friend,
I won’t be around that corner for you, this is the end!
Takes a lot for me to abandon someone in my life!
What you did would have been easier if you just used a knife.
I would have rather my blood run than the pain you caused.
It’s okay though to you I applaud!
To hurt me is not hard I know, but you did it with flying colors!
Doesn’t take a lot to do what you did when you have no morals.
Sure one day there may be a moment I forgive you.
When and if it happens will be sad because you won’t know when I do.
Crazy and yet still I will wish you well in your endeavors!
The hatred I have towards you now gives me quivers.
It takes so much for me to truly hate someone.
However you managed to make it easy and truly never to be undone!
As I said before I am sure I will manage to forgive.
That being said though I will never forget and the hatred will still be there.
My life will go on without you; the cross you set is yours to bear.
I can go on just fine; I know you out of my life won’t hinder me.
Don’t bother to try and set things right you can’t.
Being blind to what you do does not’t mean that you will see.

Uncertainty

The sound she heard before was deafening
Curiosity made her seek the sound
Thinking it was an act of joking
Up the stairs she began to look around
Not seeing anything at first she called out
Not getting a response she began to worry
The closer she came to the door
Her heart began to beat a little more
There was moment she started to care
A distance is showing in her stare
Her eyes begin to water the more she sees
Slowly beginning to fall to her knees
Looking down ever so cautiously
There was warmth she never noticed beforehand
The picture started to show more clearly
It was like a river of red before her
She finally landed on the floor
Slowly turning up her hand
The warmth and red she was in is blood
Emotions are beginning to flood
Silence is louder than a scream
Praying she was just in a dream
Carefully she pulled herself through the door
Looking around it was like a scene from a movie
Blood, gun, and boy on the floor
Was it true did he do the unthinkable?
Could he really have just taken his own life?
The sight before her was unpalatable
Tears started falling like rain
Overwhelming feeling of fear and pain
Was his life filled with such strife?
Sure he hurt her in a way that caused her to end things
But never had she imagined he’d gotten to that point
Life shows things you do uncertainty it brings!
