Unselfish Love

I was only three
What a gift you had given me!
A chance for a better life
To grow up and be someone`s wife.
You didn`t walk me down the aisle.
Or hear me say those wedding vows.
I remember the day they came for me
Dad left the house leaving mom to pack for me.
I know both of your hearts broke.
My arms reaching and crying my heart broke.
All those years apart.
I carried my love for you in my heart.
The parents I got are good to me.
Thank you both for loving me.

Wild Horses

On an island in the sun
wild ponies are free to run.
The indignity of man
They swim to the main land.
Once a year in July
under a warm summer sky
People gather all around.
No space in the water can be found.
boats and people everywhere
The babies struggle to keep up with the mares.
Out of the channel lead down a street
lead to corrals in humble defeat.
The young are sold
to the the highest bidder I`m told.
Back to the isand the other ones go
The last indignity of man is showed.
The young ones looking for their mothers
No reply not even an utter.

Kayla

There`s a little girl playing in the sand

Her name is Kayla she got a great tan.

She only been here four short years

a little girl we hold so dear.

She comes in the house asks "when do we eat?"

gets herself a box of juice to drink

Hey little Kayla where you go?

How tall did you grow?

Hey kayla I remember when you were young

playing with your toys outside in the sun.

there`s a little girl Kayla is her name

into my life she came.

Kayla plays with her children now in the sand.

two little children with beautiful tans.

one child asks "can I have something to drink?"

Kayla gives her a box of juice to drink.

Little Fragile Angel

Little fragile sent from Heaven
sent to earth fill with love.
Little angel you been through so much
Still you smile a heavenly touch.
You taught us how to endure
all your operations and living on on pediasure.
How more can your body stand?
operations on your eyes, face feet and hands.
You only been here a short eight years
We`ve seen love,patiences even tears.
A small beacon for all to see
love and hope for even me.
I`ll whisper a prayer to God tonight
for your safety in the morning light.
God please hover near guiding the doctor`s moves
give them wisdom so everthing goes smooth.
When she awkes in hospital bed
angels surround her feet and head.

Baby Blue Angel

baby blueangel left Earth in company of two angels. When he got to the gate he
saw his mama. She turned to thank the angels for bringing him. Baby blue
disappeared "Where is he?" his mama cried. they looked among the
clouds. "Could he have fallen back to Earth?" the one angel said. one angel went
back to Earth to look for the lost Baby Blue but in despair returned to Heaven. No
Baby Blue. Mama was getting quite anxious. They asked passing angels if they
had seen Baby Blue. They shook their heads. When Moses walked by they
asked him if he seen the Baby blue He said "no but he remembered when he
was a baby among the bulrushes and how they found his floating cradle. then
they came to Hallelujah square there they approached Josuha and asked him.
he said "He sound his horn like when the walls came tumbling down." He
puckered up instead of a loud blast a sweet sound came out of his horn. Noah
was working to restore his ark. He asked "Is there one or two baby blues?"
Gabriel was upset"we`ll have to go to the celestial mansion and tell God Baby
Blue is missing." When they approached the throne there on God`s lap covered
by God`s snow white beard laid the sleeping baby blue.

Harmonica Man

He plays his harmonica on the street.
Playing for money for something to eat.
So much love goes in his tunes
He plays from morning to late afternoon.
Night falls he has no where to sleep
His stomach is growling he had nothing to eat.
The night is cold he needs rest
Using cardboard boxes to make a nest.
He says his prayers closes his eyes
Alone in the world he dies.
Won`t someone care won`t someone weep?
Another homeless person dies in the street.
Doesn`t matter if your black or white.
Nowhere to go so alone ghostlike.

Balloon Ride

I saw a balloon the other day
I pulled the string,it started to play.
" A magical balloon." was on the note
All of a sudden I started to float.
Upward higher than any tree
higher and higher in the summer breeze.
Floating up among the clouds
higher than any balloon would be allowed.
Into space black as night
I closed my eyes and held on tight.
Suddenly I heard a popping sound
faster and faster falling to the ground
Then I awoke
realizing my toy balloon had broke.

Spring

There`s a spring in my chair
It bounced itself out of there.
Darn this spring must be alive
It broke my antique vase with just one dive.
Bouncing free around the room
I gotta catch it and catch it soon!
Bouncing low bouncing high
Boy that spring could fly!
It just barely miss the cat
hitting my shins with one hard wack!
Now my room is a mess
I`m a little upset I must confess.
I grabbed the broom I hit that spring
sending it flying around in a ring.
It finally went out my door
returning to my house no more.

Brass Buttons

Brass buttons on his green coat.
Pride of America but mostly his folks.
Proud to serve his country in war.
His coat is missing buttons it is torn.
He`s reported missing and presumed dead.
A nightmare all parents dread.
He died for the country he loved.
He`s in Heaven above.
His brass buttons shining in the sun.
God smiles and says "welcome home my son."
