Unselfish Love

I was only three
what a gift you had given me.
A chance at a better life
to grow up and be someone`s wife.
You didn`t walk me down the aisle
Or hear me say those wedding vows.
I remember the day they came for me.
leaving mom to pack for me.
I know both of your hearts broke
My arms reaching and crying my heart was broke.
All those years we were apart
I carried my love for you in my heart.
The parents I got were good to me
Thank you both for loving me.
