Wautoma

Wautoma

The stillness of a gentle breeze.
The rustling of the fallen leaves.
Sun shines through the naked trees.
Flowers being pollinated by the bees.
Ashes waft up from the fire pit,
Where last night a large fire was lit.
Lunch cooked on an open fire.
Birds in a line perched on a wire.
Surrounded by the clean, frseh air.
The wind swirls and styles my hair.
Water pumped up from the ground.
Food grows in abundance all around.
The smell of smoke mixed with pine.
It's peaceful here, i'm feeling fine.

Dear Depression

Dear Depression

Dear depression let me be.
All I want is to be happy.
Yet you still creep inside,
And I have nowhere I can hide.

I have no choice, I must abide,
Fall victim to your seductive side.
I start to believe in all your lies.
(Though I know it is unwise.)

You make me wear this cheap disguise,
And only few can look behind,
And when they do they like what they find.
It makes me lonely. I'm losing my mind.

So please depression give me a break.
I'm doing my best and my life is at stake.
I'm sure you know there's only so much I can take.
I'm so very tired of making the same mistakes.

Don'T

Don't

Don't judge me, you have your problems too.
Don't ever tell me what you think that i should do.

Don't tell me what i'm capable of,
Sometimes i mess up but my heart is full of love.

Don't be to greedy,
We are many and we are needy.

Don't believe everything you're told.
Don't let yourself ever feel too old.

Make sure to fight to stay alive.
Don't be crooked, avoid big lies.

Don't underestimate the freak.
They may seem weak but they're not meek.

Don't forget to have some fun.
Don't forget to lay in the sun.

Don't forget to enjoy everyday,
And don't ever throw your life away.

Sally Sue Has a Bad Day

Sally Sue Has A Bad Day

Little Sally Sue awoke one day feeling quite blue.
Her mom asked "Why, whats wrong with you?"
Sally replied, "If i only knew."

She looked in her closet and hated her clothes.
She looked in the mirror and hated her nose.
She looked all around hating everything she had.
She glanced out the window, even the neighborhood's bad.

She slumped down the stairs to get ready for school.
And scoffed at her breakfast (A bowl full of gruel)
In walked her dad asking "Why you look sad? My dear do you need to talk?"
I could drive you to school in a minuet or two."
"No thanks dad i'd rather walk.

So she headed down the block tripping over a rock, her books flying everywhere.
She said in a huff as she picked up her stuff.
"This day's becoming a nightmare!"

When she got to school things did not get better
(Caught her arm on a nail and ruined her sweater)
Sally screamed in frustration as she examined her sleeve.
"That's it! Now i'm really peeved!"
"I'm sick of my life and i'm sick of theis day! I wish the whole world would just go away!"

There was a hush in the hallway, the whole room sighed.
Sally lost control and she started to cry.
A teacher came up and took Sally aside.
She sat Sally down and said, "There now, don't cry."
"What is the trouble dear? Why all the strife? Why do you scream that you hate your life?"

Sally wiped her face trying to erase, how stupid she felt for crying.
She put on a frown and stared at the ground,
"Nothing" she said obviously lying.

"I believe you" teacher said "Though your words aren't quite true."
"Something is wrong-though it seems "nothing" to you."
"Though your problems seem small, they can add up quite fast"
"And become overwhelming, seeming forever to last."
"Just do your best to take each problem one by one. Understanding as you do, life's not always that fun."
"There will be bad days and responsibility too."
"It's that way for everyone, not only you Sue."

Now what would you do if you were Sally Sue?
Would you run and hide knowing life can be hard?
Because Sally did not, Sally was much too smart.

She went on with her day with her head held high, remembering not to give up and always to try.
And her day DID get better as she took things one at a time.
And when they did not work out,
Sally Sue didn't mine.

Missing You In Winter

Missing You In Winter

No longer can I ignore it.
I see it through the window,
Your flowers gone.

A fallen pawn.

I feel winters kiss.

Watching the petals fall from you.
I keep them safe, I do.
My scrapbook of these silly games that mother nature names.

Come back to me my love.
Snow is falling from above.
Cover me.
Keep me warm.
Our love can weather any storm.

Frozen Heart

Frozen Heart

There once was two lovers, one of them died.
Which shattered the heart if the other and made her cry.
The pain ran so deep,
She could no longer sleep.
And was barely able to breathe.
From the weight of a thousand devils who would not let her be.

Then one night, amongst her cries, another voice arose.
It was her love (though dead now) it must have been his ghost.
Her cries subsidised as his voice cut through her mind.
She heard his word (though his face was blind.)
He told her that her pain could end and they could be together.
All she had to do was cut out her heart and mend it back together.

She grabbed a dagger and plunged it deep and snipped away the edges.
Her heart plopped out in pieces and was surrounded by some angels.
Her body lay still as the angels, by their will, kept her animated.
She somehow managed to sew up the heart, amazed at what she created.

And knowing if she put it back inside, it would, one day decay.
She froze it deep inside the lake.
Where it sits to this very day.

Bedtime Prayer For Children

Bedtime Prayer For Children

It's time for small voices to be quiet and still.
It's time for the stars to give us a thrill.
If you're afraid, just remember this prayer.
When you open your eyes, I will be here.

Twisted Carnival

Twisted Carnival

Welcome to the madhouse, it's filled with mirrored walls,
Some that make you short and others make you tall.
There's plenty of games and carnival rides.
There's shadows and darkness where monsters can hide.
There's homicidal clowns laughing with glee,
And a hat that is madder who's ready for tea.

Welcome to the madhouse, the freaks are all insane.
Their withered bodies twisted, mangled and maimed.
Of games there are plenty for which you can try.
Be careful when you do though, they're designed to make you cry.
Care to place a wager? Care to take a guess?
You'll get a consolation prize regardless of success.

Welcome to the madhouse, for a price we sell your dreams,
Which in turn will poison you and choke you with your screams.
The customers are very lavish and the make-up's quite unique.
You'll never see the same routine repeated week by week.
The Ferris wheel is one hundred feet high, the fireworks burn bright.
A carousel spins out of control, close to the speed of light.

And every child laughs for they know no evil yet.
And every adult knows the punishment they get.
So join us now and I will bet, you'll have a time you'll never forget.

From Wife To Husband

From Wife To Husband

I love you dearly. I do not jest.
Of all my friends, your'e one of the best.
But if it's sex you want, I'm sorry to say,
It's not going to happen today.
Your company I love to keep.
But I'm tired now and want to sleep.

The Old Man

The Old Man

There was an old man who was very sad,
The whole world his enemy.
That is till he saw the most beautiful thing of all!
A rose growing under a tree.
"How peculiar." He thought, "Why'd the rose pick this spot?"
"Well I guess I will sit here and see.

And as the sun showed down on the fields all around,
The old man took stock what he had.

He sat there confused as he silently mused,
"Well I guess the world's not quite so bad."
