Inside

Inside this deep shell,
Lies a love I'll never tell,
Thought you knew me well....

Medieval Knight

Check your boots are the door,
With a smile come right in.
You look worn from your travels,
Where did this adventure begin?

He spoke about his birthplace,
Where he defended with pride,
How he left behind a sister,
Who’s soul left him when she died.

There was a mother who loved him,
But his father was gone,
That is why he wears his shield with honor,
Because that same blade won’t get getting him.

The sensitive side around him,
Left shortly after birth,
His son and beloved wife,
Both fell victim under strife.

He walks these grounds around him,
Looking for an end to his loosing battle,
Speaking to those who will listen,
Before wishing them a farewell.

Living with the torment,
To roam this earth alone,
Speaking to the mind of a knight,
Leaves glory and sorrow alike.

Summer Sunsets

I never dreamed the sun would glisten,
Closing my eyes only to listen,
To that unending breeze of innocence,
Full of ambition and forgetfulness.
There’s something in those summer sunsets,
That for a moment makes one vulnerable.
To muscled charm and brown eyed wonder,
Leaving the moon to clearly ponder.
Barely a teen but closer to a women,
Added with lemonade and ice cream sundaes.
Maybe never to see him one the leaves change,
But summer returns hold those memories.
Wanting the truth my parents warned me,
Would never get me off and going,
But wait another night is dawning,
I shouldn’t keep that boy of mine waiting.
It’s just the end to another summer day,
That I never dreamed would near it’s ending.
The skies are lined with yellows, reds and purples.
And as that breeze blows round the trees brim,
He holds my hand and pulls my face close to him.

No Matter What

I asked God,
When I was young,
For a daughter,
Or a son.
No matter the color of hair,
Or body type,
Such a little miracle,
Is always right.
No Matter number of fingers,
Or number of toes,
With a healthy heart,
In our home it will grow.
No matter sound of voice,
Or brightness of eyes,
Every baby is beautiful,
And brings such pride.
No matter grades in school,
Or scholarships won,
My smart little baby,
Will live for fun.
With a nose like mommy,
and a smile like daddy,
Combined together,
Living on forever.

Past

The only past,
You need to remember.
Is every yesterday,
You’ve shared with me.

The only past,
You need to sweat,
Is the memories,
You won’t share with me.

The only past,
You need to create,
Is every tomorrow,
Spent in the arms we make.

The only past,
You will ever remember,
Is the one you once had,
That I have wiped clean.

Inside the Devil's Eyes

I thought I ran from him,
Far enough away,
Figure how he's found me,
Living daily in my brain.
Breathless I lay helpless,
Feeling battered and ashamed,
Sinking so low into the darkness,
Even the light can't shield the pain.

Hand in hand,
Once again,
Unable to resist,
Feeling the bliss,
As we kiss,
Shaken violence through the room,
Memories,
Hard to see,
Nothing even feels clear to me.
As I finally die,
Inside the devil's eyes.

He's a danger like no other,
Both in the darkness and the light,
Hiding behind everyone's shoulder,
With a temptating silence.
Seen only by the holder,
Of the evil one's flame,
Knowing nothing eye covers,
Memories never to be tamed.

Hand in hand,
Over and over again,
Unable to resist,
Through this life he's slowly kissed,
All alone inside this room,
Silenced memories,
Sheltered between him and me,
Eyes not clear enough to see,
As I finally die,
Inside the devil's eyes.
