Fight

Fight
Fight
Fight

It's repeated so many times

Fight for me
Fight for her
Fight for him
Fight for them

Fight for your love
Fight for your freedom
Fight to stay strong
Fight the doubt

Fight the voices
Fight the anxiety
Fight the paranoia
Fight the depression

Fight the urge to run away
Fight the urge to lock yourself away
Fight the urge to grab that blade
Fight the urge to give in to it all

Most importantly
Fight the urge to die

No, I'm sick of fighting
It's won
I'm broken
Goodbye

Is It Today

Is it today?
Will I finally be me?
Not ill, not sick
When will this be?

Is it today?
I wonder as I go for my glass of water
Chugging down these magical pills
Will I again be my mother's daughter?

Is it today?
They say it’s not forever
You can and will get better
It will just be whenever

Ocean

Alone
Cold
Scared

No one can hear you out here
No one understands
No one feels your pain
No one is coming for you
No one is throwing a lifeline

Make your own lifeline
Make your own way
Make yourself strong again

People, like the ocean, are cold
Save yourself
Your cries will not be heard

Pills

Pills
Tablets
Medication

Blue
White
Yellow

Day after day
Week after week
Month after month

Again and again
Over and over
Forever and ever

Pills
Tablets
Medication

Blue
White
Yellow

High Dosage

Swallow your pride
Take the poison
They said it helps
So, open wide

Bitter pill indeed
But it is needed
You had to take it
No matter how much you pleaded

No other choice really
It will not let you live freely

Without the pill is suffering
Without the pill is pain
Without the pill is fear
Without the pill is despair

Your body is whole
But broken is your soul

When bones are broken
A crutch keeps you up

When your very being is broken
A pill becomes a crutch

If it was just taking a pill
That equalled calm
Pain and suffering would leave
There'd be no harm

But a higher dose at first is frightful
You wait for the day, it'll become delightful

Reality

Reality
Everyone's shared illusion
That's what philosophers say
Everyone seeing things the same way

I have my own reality
I see things others don't
Other's call it insanity
But I won't

My world is colourful
My world is never gray
My world is not dark
My world is forever day

My world is warm
My world is never cold
My world is youthful
My world never grows old

My world is loving
My world has no danger
My world is peaceful
My world is much stranger

You tell me I'm sick
I tell you I'm free
You tell me I'm lost
I tell you I'm home
