A sunset cast its wealth upon the water.
I watched the golden treasure being spilled,
But wondered, was it glad to be unburdened,
Or did it miss the grace of being filled?
I’ve been taken and taken and taken,
Till there’s nothing left to give
From too many years existing
Like I don’t have long to live.
Now I feel like the perfect stranger,
Right at home in the lost and found.
It always seems I’m just passing through,
But I can’t find my way out of town.
As Xenophon learned when he fought at Cunaxa,
It's sure to be a long march home.

Benji was the skeleton of Telamon
Got afraid of his own shadow Solomon
Both cried in their granny's house
Swallowed rats of Doctor Gauss
And messed around the statue of Xenophon
