Premium Member A Common Misconception About Inchworms

The inchworm's in no hurry
        his vision's perhaps blurry

     A journey of five meters
        in ten hours, a world-beater

I'd like to go on record
to report they don't feel hectored

     But per a reliable source
        they envy snails, of course

World Beater

The earth quakes with fear.
It sweats brooks.

My face is made of stone.
One look and you turn to stone.
The fire in my eyes burns forests down.

My kicks are quick as lightning.
I punch like rain; you can't avoid me.
My fists are made of iron.
I don't wait until they get hot to strike.

I break new ground as if it were a nose.
It crunches against my knuckles.

I uppercut deep. Lava gushes on impact.
The earth revolves around me before lying in mire.

It was me against the world.
Now I'm a world beater.

Of Doping and Lifetime Bans

If Lance Armstrong isn’t King of Cheaters
He’s most certainly on the royal court
No soul to sell, that former world-beater
Poster boy for putting self before sport

The town’s old sheriff, asleep at the wheel
Cheaters get a tiny slap on the hand
Much more than laurels the swindlers do steal:
People’s respect for all sports in the land

Now think of a world record that’s been set
Or a gold medal won, do you figure--
When was the last time you were confident
Physiology hadn’t been jiggered?

I say throw cheaters out for evermore
For how else will people ever believe
That sport’s integrity has been restored
And the whole world is not being deceived?

The human potential, heart, and effort
The only measure, else there is no sport.

Drifting

Drifting

Drifting here, mongst would be demons,
Cursing all who come their way,
Laughing how its computer, feeds one,
Smouldering thoughts be yours today,
Damaged minds, so full of hate,
Working making misery,
Oh I can upset you in the thousands,
Makes me feel, a bird of prey,
Subtle terror on your computer,
Worms unloosed to your dismay,
Killing off your computer boota,
Darkness fills the void n stays,

Always there amongst the human,
Hatred of mankind does stay,
Black heart demon, a world beater,
fickle fated, ironic clay.

The biter it gets bit for sure,
Payback only ten times more,
“Sow and reap” kicks down your door,
Ironic twists the knife, the more,
Know the feel, I’m sure implying,
What comes next, just after dying,
Haw haw haw,
It’s frightening…..

World Beater

A world beater
A silence eater
You float
Across the sky
High
On the happiness
Left trailing
Behind
Combined
With the efforts
Of others;
Mothers
Fathers
Brought
Freedom
From
The chains
The pains
Of humanity
And cast
A new
Sunlight
Shone
Bright
Upon
Their lives
Cast aside
The misery
Of their existence
And brought
Contentment
Happiness
Calm
Brought
Salvation
A balm
To their souls
