"food passes downwards into the oesophagus,
then further down into the stomach,
where gastric juices break it down into
what can only be described as
a porridge-like consistency
the then partly digested food moves through
the small intestine (which to doctors is
also known as the small bowel)
here, and not later, it is broken down even further so the
nutrients can be absorbed into the blood stream
the waste products from this process are then pushed
into the large intestine or large bowel
the liquid is absorbed
and the left over waste forms solid stools
these collect together in the
rectum until they are passed out of the body in
a bowel movement."
after the man on the dance floor yelled this in my ear,
i went back to the bar for another round
A woman in burgundy
A burgundy dress draped over what can only be described as an hour glass figure
Long auburn hair trailing down to the arch of her back and eyes light brown shining glimmer
She walks away from me but knows men’s eyes follow her as her buttocks firm only to make me quiver
Her legs muscular as her calves rounded at the top slip down to high heels with open toes to show black nail varnish painted perfectly in light to forgive the sinner
Face porcelain yet strong featured cheek bones with a tiny nose and lips fuller for the lipstick red and oh how I would have her for my dinner
I ache inside when I tell you that her bosom is so large and rounded I could happily spend all of my winter kissing them and squeezing them between my large hands and not once think of anything better
This woman I only saw for two minutes but in my mind she will be something I always will remember.
The air outside, an invisible blanket of ice
that lays against the skin with hidden pins.
That momentary shock as face collides with glass
and paralysis for a moment grabs your limbs.
When looking out the window to the garden,
to the grass the brickwork and the green.
I see what can only be described as a natural wonder,
I see the fire in the trees.
The brown and rotting leaves, laying edged from the branches,
I see the skeleton exposed, as the rays set the body alight.
Enhancing its beauty as it stands still above the houses,
Peaceful, awaiting the night.
