Premium MemberThe Other Side

I was once a guy on the other side of the mind
It was breath taking, but no one to find
My thought process had fallen to a new degree
I was burning for help, and it took control of me
No one to answer the call for help
I was stuck in a world walking by myself
Motivated by destiny, I continue to strive
Releasing the energy that I tried to hide
Awaken to the ground by positivity
My heart felt electrified by a sense of being free
My mind was clear and free from the depth
To only close my eyes as I begin to welp
No one could stop my crying inside
I feel so complete now that I feel alive.

Drive To Success

Off to the DMV? Yay!! My weekends off to a great start
Where you can hear every burp and smell every fart
If anybody would have mercy on me they'd shoot me
So I wouldn't have to go back to the DMV
Of that place I have yet to find a perk
In and out more like take a day off work
It's hell on earth nothing but stress
Do I hate the DMV? YES
Didn't bring the right paperwork big shock there
My big pleeding eyes were responded to without care
A kid comes in and he starts to bawl
Tempted to bang my head against the wall
Miss please get me in faster...wrong thing to say
Go sit in the chair for the rest of the day
Welp, there goes my pride
I feel like a kid whose forced to stay inside
Despite all that we need the DMV
Make it bearable by having everything ready

One More Minute

Welp, it's all over, all gone, and now I'm left to sell.
Guess it won't be long until I finally go to Hell...
One more minute to recite on all of my sins,
Including not visiting my Gramps' funeral, and everything ever since.

How long has it been, guys? Sixteen years?
A bit too early for my taste. Oh well, I bequeath all of unused time to my peers.
I guess I'll see them not long after, for all people will join me soon.
However, as of right now, for humanity, it's still high noon...

Some of them don't deserve finding me in this place,
So sinister, dark, evil and devoid of grace.
Those people will probably go beyond: either ahead or above,
To the place of worshippers of feelings like Happiness, Friendship and Love.

Maybe someday, I'll be able to go to that place too...
I wonder though, for that to happen, what do I have to do?
Probably give everything to ones who don't give anyone a thing,
The people who serve as messengers of the Hell's Bells' ring.

Depression Is Real

Depression is real,
but people ignore it.
tell me what's the deal?
why make people feel worthless?
Nothing about it is funny,
laughing makes them laugh less.
why do something,
that makes them want their life less?
Depression is a battle,
like riding a horse without a saddle.
you shake, and fall with no one to catch you.
now tell me,
does this effect you?
because if you answer no,
im here to tell you wrong.
1 out of 4 people could write a song.
About their battle without a saddle,
and how it effected them.
and without you,
they probably would have left.
This world is a cruel place,
people would rather leave than look at their own face.
feeling like a disgrace,
is like living underwater.
everyone's still breathing,
but you're being slaughtered.
the demons that live inside,
give you no place to hide.
and when you reach out for help,
they only scream louder to make you welp.
your ear drums are shattered,
you feel like you don't matter.
no people don't listen,
they only take the ladder.
away from you is where people stay.
and they always ask,
"why did she take her life away?"

Premium MemberWe Bend But Never Break

We Bend but Never Break

Stand your ground the Monarchs cry
defend our power, do not ask why
Know we rule by our divine right
murder so easily with our might!

Bow down to kiss our Godly feet
we are the best you will ever meet
Know your place and all is fine
now pick the grapes, stomp the wine!

We stand above the shining light
ordering peons to slave and fight
Get cracking , do as you are told
if lucky, you'll work until very old!

the refutation......

Stand there in your deep disgrace
vainly thinking to be a better race
We searched and found freedom's call
you bow or else you will fall!

On bended knee beg for our help
bark, bark , you surly little welp
Learn your place to stay alive
tread water or else take a dive!

We stand in great defiant cause
no longer obey your stupid laws
Obey meekly and you just may live
that's most you get , more we'll never give!

Robert J. Lindley, August 3rd, 1974

Written when I was 21 years old, so full of piss and vinegar!
Youth has the advantage of - energy and eagerness....

Save Your Lousy Self

Save your pity for a fool that is not witty
save your sorrow for a jerk with no tomorrow
Save your scorn for your future unborn
save your smartass for another dumbass
Save your lies for your coming black eyes
save your taste for your own stupid waste
Save your frown for another silly clown
save your next scam for your next big ham
Save your mistakes for your jump in the lake
save your life for terrible and massive strife!
Save your love for next disease you can't get rid of
save your mess for your next boatload of stress
Save your speech for your next loud screech
save your help for your next born welp
Save your cries for your next false guise
save your stand for your next super lousy band
Save your gasps for your next futile grasps
save your retreat for your next huge defeat
Save your fall for your next crash into the wall
save your pain for your next car wreck in the rain!

An exercise in "saving" for frugal people that are lousy scoundrels!!
I wrote this with a fool I know from my wild young days in mind...
A little slam for fun.....

Sacrifice Is Necessary

what happened to you? usually it wouldnt phase you.
you seem different, distant, resistant.
you've changed.

is there anything i can do to help?
slowly you're changing. its leaving an emotional welp.

in the past my heart has hurt, but you were the one who nutured it back to health.
now you're not you, no longer a rainbow.
filled with blacks and grays you sit there, staring into space.
it is a physical slap to the face.

though you say i shouldnt blame myself, it's my job to make sure you're content.
im tired, im sad. this time with you was the best ive ever had.
the emotions and thoughts coarsing through my brain, have me spent.

so lets bottle up your menthol breath, for which the cost is death, and put it to good use.
we can revive the feelings once felt, we can bring this love back to life.
you and me, me and you.

Premium MemberMandela

that fine day
wind in my hair
sun on my back
i'd noticed your smile
lightening my way we'd
canvased life's scars
sudden callings mounted
above a sassiness
for peace the berlin wall
crawled awkwardly
chains rattled steel doors
grounded throughout
salted stone
an yet you sounded
the trumpets opening
rusted gates
right off the hinges
oh how small i felt
jesus welp as
your words finally
come into existence
blind no more
and seeing
i am a human being

Did Ya See It Mama

Yep!
I ist ain't gonna do it
I said I'm not

It stinkes a lot like fish
I said mama
I ain't eat'n it
For human consumption
welp mama
it ain't fit.
It rolls round and round
and yep it's done off ma plate
Yep fur sure, now it's to late
it hit the ground.
with out even a sound
did ya see that mama
that smelly old
brussel sprout.
