Granite outcroppings sparkle like gems
Leading the eye to a neatly-hidden village
In the shadow of distant purple mountains,
And beyond to higher peaks snow-capped.
Over all the pastoral scene grayish clouds
Suggest winter is riding on a white mount
The slightest hint of a dying sun rests atop
Sharpest peaks daring darkness to fall.
She will not surrender until her shadows
Move across the bleak brown barrenness
And across the thatched homes lighting
Candles in the dusk of a family suppertime.
Notice now the tiny fence posts separating
The far pasture where no sheep now graze
Until spring bids them visit for a season
To forage among sparkling gems of granite.

DIFFERENCE
A friend once said that
difference is a problem
when used as a weapon,
perhaps something good
when sought as an
adventure.
He started the interview
by clearing the air, told the
corporate panel at the mahogany
table that he was an African, Jewish,
Republican cross-dresser from southern
Mississippi, both the son and the daughter
of an Islamic Russian from east of the Urals
and an Ethiopian Christian of half-Chinese
descent who was partially handicapped and
wanted by Interpol for clandestinely supporting
Cuban revolutionaries and Aryan supremacists
by transporting drugs for an Afghan cartel
whose amoral leader, the half-Indian
brother of his beautiful mother was a
Colombian priest who had
broken his vows
He shuffled his feet
and prepared to get up
but the wiry-haired man at the
head of the table held up his hand, looked
over his glasses like an exasperated teacher
about to show faith in a mercurial student
“Get over it!” He said
“You start work on Monday!
You’ll be the company entertainment
for the next thirty years!”

Through the windows
of my eyes,
from the gates of my heart
love vibrations I send
with my soul in party ,,,
Love vibes for everyone
from north to south
from east to west
From Russia to China
from the Urals to amazon
from Brazil to the Usa ...
Do you know what day today is?
Do you know what day it is today?
25th of December,
Christmas Day ...!

THE MALEVOLENT GOLDEN HORDE
By Roy Merritt
They rode out over the Asian steppes their ponies hooves flashing
Their arrows taking wing their blades brutally slashing
A river of blood they left in their horrid wake
Their victims cursing their gods for those they did forsake
They went along the Urals and further moving west
And all who opposed them these monsters did suppress
On to the Danube they rode this murderous eastern tribe
And rested their haggard steeds and these waters did imbibe
And others went to the east into the Siberian cold
To conquer all before them their terror to behold
They rode in the name of Batu the grandson of Genghis Khan
And ruled these lands for a century and even years beyond
And yet they were destined in these lands near and far
Rebellion was their plight in the days of the Tartar
And now they are but a faint memory their infamy long ignored
But history shan't forget them The Malevolent Golden Horde.
