In the presence of battle
Surrounded by smoke
Everything goes silent
Your heart pounds
As you realize
For a minute that you are alone
On that battlefield
Risking it all
For the fate of your country
You are a soldier
A soldier of God
And then you pray
Kneeling on the ground
Hands clasped
That minute stretches on
Forever praying
Then you march
Onward and fight
The fight of faith
Guided by that holy light
It seems all will see
At one point
Finally, that prayer seems to make the difference
As you win that battle
Stay humble, my friend for trouble lasts for a while.
This life horrors us with many tests and trials.
Alone you may think you are, but don't fret.
Your enemies will soon be your footstool.
Honesty,courtesy, and prayer are are some components of humility.
Understanding yourself as well as others also plays a part.
Memorize these instructions, which are a good tool.
Be kind and wise,observant strong and quiet, too.
Learning and living by the of God is the best facility and
Example for yourself and the rest to be and to stay in the act of humility.

I wrote this prayer for you today
and I hope that you didn't mind
but I thanked the Lord for the poetry soup community
and for you wonderful people so talented and kind
I asked that those who Don't know the Lord would feel his Love and Compassion through our
poems and somehow answer his call
but most of all I asked the Lord that he would bless you all.
God bless you All and may His Peace and Love be with you All both now and forevermore.

it's a blessing being here sharing with each other all kinds of poems and you all are a
blessing to All. take care from Diane
I pray to The Lord to thank Him,
for gifts He provides each day.
A prayer of thanksgiving to Jesus,
for the blessings He sends my way.
I thank you Lord for the lesser things,
and not think it so odd,
for I know that even the smallest,
is given by The Grace of God.
Thank you for a stove and a pantry...
for a blanket, pillow, and bed...
for clean sheets, warm covers, and pajamas,
and sending my daily bread.
Thank you for washcloth and towels...
for soap, a tub, and sink...
for tube of toothpaste and toothbrush,
and a faucet of cold water to drink.
I have taken so much for granted,
hardly given it much thought,
but from now on I will pray to thank you Lord,
for these lesser blessings wrought.
I have prayed a prayer of thanksgiving,
for provisions The Lord has given;
may we promise and always remember,
to be grateful thankful children!

Paradise
paradise is just a prayer away.
Jesus will forgive all your sin, that was his plan from the start.
When he gave his life on cavalry, for us so we could be forgiven.
Now we are able to see paradise.
Which is heaven holy city where no more tears can enter in.
within it’s gates is peace and love, joy forevermore with Jesus love all around us.
Like the sun shining on a bright summer day.
Warm are bodies and soul that tell us to enter in.
We see the sun shining on the dove, that fly’s in bright blue sky, over our heads and into God’s mighty hand.
Which cover all our sins, may God bless all of us that we might enter in, the gates of paradise into
Gods mighty hands.
