Once could mend or move a cause
In search of bleeding sun
Pressed never for a need to pause
Until the thing was done.
They ill-afford to fight and yield
A life on holy principle
Or noble sacrifice to field
Before the young and sensible.
The bold and bitter sound the fear
In shot. What difference lies
Who cease to mourn and tear
While unmindfully the nation cries.
The yelps of altered discontent
Restraint propelled to faltered feet
Whose who pay in kind repent
That truth lies dead in sad defeat.

I write of those fleeting moments,
unmindfully lived
Gone before I was even aware of their passing;
Knowing they were a mere uneventful glance,
a slice of my life
disappeared
vanished
gone--
Gone forever into that vacuous biotic
known as my life,
as it were, and
Realizing so are the passages of every life.
The whole is but gathered vaporous bits
of mostly irrecoverables
Still, I gather those glances into malleable clumps
[I am thankful they were mine to live
small pieces of me
memorable
joyful
sad--]
Of clay and mold them into one recognizable piece
known as my life,
as it were, and
Realizing so are the passages of every life.

Corrosion of time does not fade
Some moments, some bonding
Though we carry the signature
Of the current time, soon to be gone again,
An inevitable seal of current happenings, with
A confused state of world getting smaller and smaller though.
Dreams cuddled in sweet hope and inspiration of a subconscious mind
Perhaps only to see a kite flying high in the sky, one day
And patience waits unmindfully to attach the string there
For some words, some sounds with an utter surprise
Not to contort or to defeat the truth
But to align, somewhere, somehow.
